It is at least strange that a Volotea B717 (EC-MGT) from Luxembourg to Nice (flight V7-2579) diverts to Brussels, quite out of the way!

Anyone knowing why this return to homebase for SN465 above the Red Sea is made (LH590 FRA-NBO did also make a U-turn) ?

KL565 AMS-NBO and KL539 AMS-KGL for example don't seem to bother to make a (slight) detour around Sudan and continue to their final destinations via the Red Sea.

A pity that KL seems more reliable is such circumstances than our Africa-specialist.

SN (and probably also LH) doesn't have the authorisation to overfly some countries in the region, like Eritrea. A return to Brussels was the only available option.

Currently in short final at VIE.

No more info if departure is expected from Vienna with passengers or without or if it will stay at VIE.

El Al missed approach this morning. But fortunately, after two more landings on 01 of other flights, the runway changed to 07L which meant a shorter second approach :)

TF-AMM departed to Lusaka last night (from LGG) and then came back a few hours after takeoff. It flew some circles too over france after heading back to Liège. Later the night it departed normally. Anybody know more about that?
