The Chairman of the board is not running the day to day. Perhaps only to take money !
It reminds of José Happart being named Chairman of the Board of Liège Airport (and still in place after many years). Fortunately, the airport is successfully managed day-to-day by Luc Partoune

Still, a pity and an example of how our country is run... and no it's not better in the North...
People get these posts because the colour of their party card and what they did for that party and not because of their knowledge, if any...

The board represents the shareholders / defends the interests from the shareholders. For entities where a major shareholder is "the state" (regional, federal), it's common that the president of the board is assigned by those representing "the state" = the parliament/the government.

Usually, the president of the board has knowledge of running a commercial enterprise - in the same branch or similar - or at least in consumer-related activities. And this is where the new president of the board at CRL differs from the the president of the board at BRU.

But then, like the famous soccer player Johan Cruijff once said: "elk nadeel heb zijn voordeel". Every disadvantage has its advantage. And Di Santo will be able to avoid strikes at CRL...

Three aren't any strikes at CRL. Even when the whole country is on strike, CRL is running. And that is a culture of the enterprise that was instilled by former CEO Jean-Jacques Cloquet who was loved by his staff.

Until now, ideed no strikes in CRL. I try to imagine a discussion between Ryanair (MOL) and Antonio Di Santo..
Wich langage and "a different vision". Only in Wallonia

First one is not a strike in CRL, but the national strike... probably including Skeyes and more outside the airport.
Second, not a CRL ppersonnel strike, but strike from exter partners as in BRU

A "national strike" is no legal obligation. A strike allways is a voluntary sabotage action by employees. The airport was shut down because of a strike by staff working at CRL. With many of them a member of the FGTB/ABVV (Pagtour says CSC?), maybe a former ABVV/FGTB boss can avoid another strike indeed. So Johan Cruijff was correct indeed.

Passenger, your relentless effort to drag Wallon's airport, airlines, whatsoever under a negative light is just annoying, I don't know what kind of business you are into...but it's surely not aviation , operation , maintenance, catering or engineering..you are just a frustrated ticket seller wishing to have 2 or 3 golden stripe on the shoulder to look important....please stop posting on CRL , LGG, we know it will be bad news, focuse on OST and ANR...they are the best!
The all world knows that...

Project for spotters not in 2020 budget, so it has been suspended. Discussions were ongoing only 2 months ago to find a correct location to make spotting, as ladders near to the fences are forbidden.

Don't shoot the messenger. Passenger is giving really a lot of good information which one day we all can use.
Passenger knows very well what he is talking about as he is in the business and sees everything from very close

Malta Air takes over Ryanair ops at Malta, with Malta Air.

https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/ryan ... malta-air/

Own AOC means own codes, but no one knows when Malta Air will really take off, but there will be a switch for sure, maybe step by step.

Current flights to and from Malta are still operated by Ryanair.

10th airline at Gosselies ?
No, at least not now.

Malta Air sets up a base at VIE in S20 but CRL not as destination. Absurd when everyone knows that Lauda, sister airline, has a base there as well.

RYR flights to MLA to be taken over by RYR Charleroi hub, and to not be operated more by Malta Air (until 28 March 2020)
