Ryanair confirmed that the UK CAA has issued Ryanair UK with a UK AOC, which will allow this UK airline to operate UK domestic and UK to non-EU routes in a post-Brexit environment, if necessary. Did you follow? :)

Clear statement, easy to follow, no?
In case of hard BREXIT, EU operators won’t be allowed to fly domnestic U.K. routes.
For exactly the same reason easyJet created an Austrian AOC to operate intra EU flights.

Last Friday (04/01/2019), FR-8582 from London Stansted to Thessaloníki couldn't land there because of fog. The aircraft diverted all the way to Timisoara (Romania), and passengers were then offered a bus trip of some... 800 kilometers. 89 passengers refused that 10 hour road trip, and were left stranded at the airport. The Greek authorities, aware of their situation, then chartered an Aegean aircraft to bring them to their holiday destination.

U.W.V. = the Dutch Uitvoeringsinstituut voor Werknemersverzekeringen = the Dutch authority for Unemployment Insurance, has refused Ryanair's request to close its Dutch base as a collective closure. UWV has ruled that Ryanair and its employees first have to negociate about the closure. Untill further notice, Ryanair also has to pay the salaries from its 16 Dutch pilots and 15 cabin crew.

Ryanair lowered its full-year profit guidance — excluding Laudamotion — from a current PAT range of €1.1-1.2 billion to a new range of €1.0-1.1 billion due to lower fares, stronger traffic growth, stronger ancillary sales, and slightly better than expected 2H unit cost performance. This guidance excludes start-up losses in Lauda, which have been cut from €150 to €130 million.

In FR only: own strike = indemnity to be paid:

Ryanair is in talks to open a base at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, to expand its presence in the French market.

And also, Ryanair plans to expand the company’s operations in Israel, along with an interest in having Ryanair operate flights within Israel.
