According to De Tijd, VLM will probably take over a few planes of Small Planet Airlines. Harm Prins denies the deal is closed yet.

The original announcement comes from fvw.de:

I'm frowning my eye-brows when I read what VLM is doing -> what's next, renaming to 'Small VLM Airlines' or 'Planet VLM' ?

At least they try to grow and build a future. First they will build a steady operation and i'm sure a new name will follow in due time.
As far I know, Mr. Prins is doing a nice job, something many of us could not predict some months ago...

Ch-aviation says that an agreement has been signed, is someone able to confirm?

FVW.de says it was confirmed by Small Planet in Germany ("Wie das Management der Charterfluggesellschaft gegenüber fvw bestätigte, wurde Mitte dieser Woche ein Kaufvertrag mit VLM Airlines aus Amsterdam unterzeichnet."), but H. Prins denies the deal is closed yet.
The reference to Amsterdam is a reference to the Dutch owner, I suppose.

Aviation24.be asked a spokesman for more information on the two Airbus A330 without a reply. Let's wait for a press release!

The best is to have at least a website, and how to contact them. André already told me you had a contact with him but if you simply Google the airline... You can't find anything to contact them instead of office or post (but strike)

According de Tijd VLM Airlines is longer in possession of aircrafts.
The A320 returned back to Thomas Cook while the other is in Marseille.
According de Tijd there are problems with the payments between VLM and AerCap.

Also mentioned in the article is that Prins has already two A330's and contracts for the expansion to China.
He only has to secure the financing of this project...

Is anybody surprised by the outcome?

Nevertheless, according to the annual financial report of VLM Airlines NV to the NBB (signed by CEO Harm Prins), they should receive their first A330 in Feb 2019 and the second one in Jun 2019. I bet this will never happen...
