In April Maarten Van Den Driessche wrote that Air Belgium's second destination would be Wuhan ( https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/air-b ... -to-wuhan/ ), as this information seemed preliminary we decided to offline the article. Today L'Echo has news: Chinese tour operator U-Tour has signed an agreement with Air Belgium: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/air-b ... agreement/

They left on the 3rd of June, arrived HKG on 4th.
Are you saying they still have to land ?????

4 - 8 hours on the tarmac , load PAX and cargo, and return.

that is what airlines do.
Or will it be a joke anyway ??

I thought you meant the second flight from Charleroi on Wednesday, but you meant the return flight last Sunday. That load factor I don't know.

Report of the "inauguration" by Pagtour, with a photo of their third aircraft (and it's not a A343):
http://pagtour.info/air-belgium-reunit- ... bel-belge/

(before the 2 A343's were delivered, Flightradar has used that same photo for Air Belgium)

No offence to André here (I respect him very much) but don't expect an unbiased review coming from someone who is invited by Air Belgium PR dept. This is PR stunt at its best... same applies to loadfactor being (objectively) disclosed or not... How many journalists on board ? What are the forward booking..?

When you see how some journalists did cover SN's recent strike, and how dependent they are on SN press department, this might explain the poor and nonobjective coverage that was done.

Actual info will leak sooner or later, but the then comes the question "what is your source" ? ... :D ;)

Within a few weeks, their honeymoon weeks will be over. Optimism will then be replaced by realism: the figures, the invoices, the bills, the problem with the load factor, the problem with the GDS, the problem with the call center.

Sooner or later, someone will have to pay for the Libreville debackle from last weekend (two AF flights cancelled, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded = hotels, meals, rebookings, refunds). Someone will have to pay for the two flights with almost zero paying passengers: the first flight (03/06) and the inauguration flight (06/06). Or for the four flights with almost zero paying passengers, unless U-Tour fills the plane tomorrow.

And what will happen when their annual account 2017 will be published? Remember: it was a year with only expenses and no income.

The above is my personal opinion. The following is a quote from Richard Branson: "...If you want to be a Millionaire, start with a billion dollars and launch a new airline..."

What a threathening way of saying it.
I would have just said : the beginning has been difficult, now they are launched, let's hope they will succeed, wait and see...

Exactly!
Off course this won’t be a walk in the park, but let’s applaud those who want to take the risk and give them a fair chance.

We forgot to send somebody over to count the amount of passengers that were boarding and deboarding the aircraft

Probably around 25% revenue pax, but what is the value of the load factor of the first flight? Do you want to fly CRL-HKG, with the real load, on your Microsoft 767 flight simulator?

Why don’t you ask your reliable source?

If chinese travel agency U Tour is putting their clients on KF flights instead of sending russian planes to LGG , they can succeed in feeding their planes...
