Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Did a daytrip ANR-CGN-ANR today with two friends. This morning we had the whole aircraft for us as we were the only pax on board
The flight attendant told us that they were picking-up 21 pax in CGN to continue to RLG.
On the way back in the afternoon 16 pax flew RLG-CGN, two stayed onboard to continue to ANR and we were 5 to board at CGN.
The cabin crew were again very friendly and the service excellent, much better than a lot of other big Airlines.
They also told us that they need at least 20 pax onboard to be profitable and that the London route is almost always full or nearly full while the route to Zürich has some up an downs but is mainly good...

Easier to spread your attention and kindness to 5 pax than to a full loaded aircraft

But maybe that is the advantage of the low load factors...
Greetings,
All my posted timings are local !

Hello
Easier to spread your attention and kindness to 5 pax than to a full loaded aircraftWith 5 pax you can easily make a personal talk with every pax and still do your service, how do you want to do that on a fully booked flight? So in my opinion not a very hard task to be friendly and do a good service if you only have 5 pax.
But maybe that is the advantage of the low load factors...
Greetings,
Re-reading my post I understand that I should have written it differently. I wrote "again" not to refer only to the first flight that morning but also to my previous experience with them a few weeks ago. On a nearly full flight to ZRH the service was as excellent as it was on the almost empty flights

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Total June figures for CGN - RLG - CGN are in average 20 PAX per flight. In general I would say, that his wasn't that bad, but when the flight ANR - CGN is pretty bad, the total route ANR - CGN - RLG - CGN - ANR is not profitable. So finally, no surprise that they stopped it.
Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
the ANR CGN was only a positioning flight
but i thought there was an agreement with a touroperator to fill up there cruises
i think i was wrong!

I doubt that VLM will fly to Osijek, though, let alone base an aeroplane there.Mariborchanka wrote: ↑26 Aug 2018, 09:12Heh, an attempt to edit-copy-paste SHS Aviation airport fairy tale from Maribor (SLO) to Osijek (CRO).![]()

A bit of promo for VLM's Antwerp-London City connection. Published today on YouTube.
Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
It is rumoured that VLM Antwerp will stop all activities as of tonight. More news after the arrival of the last flight of the day (VO148 from ZRH at 21:45).

The flight is cancelled. But not the ANR-ZRH one.

Correction. VO148 is cancelled but not VO1480

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Yes, my bad. It's VO1480 as the Munich and Zurich flights have been combined again tonight. That flight is routed MUC-ZRH-ANR.
