Problem should not happen first.

But at least we must say it was solved a lot faster than in BRU.

In BRU it happened already 2 - 3 times..

Indeed. And Brussels Airport is a third world airport (according to some), whilst Amsterdam Airport is top of the bill. Well, it wasn't on Sunday. Contrary to what some say, the chaos was huge. More then 40 flights cancelled (figure only for KLM), another dozens of flights heavily delayed, and finally 6.000 passengers stranded.

If one reads the Dutch press now, it's clear that their plan B failed. The power backup didn't worked (except for ATC) and the ICT system failed to start up. And just like with the last chaos at Brussels Airport, emergency assistance staff that was called in, was unable to get to the airport.

But the e-gates were open. Hip hip hip...

AELS (Netherlands) to sell an ex-KLM B747-400, serial 24000, to Corendon Hotels & Resorts (Turkey) in early 2019, as part of a hotel project. The plane will stay in Badhoevedorp, The Netherlands, next to the Corendon Hotel of that city.

Today's flight KL-1 (KLM1) was AMS-AMS:

Reason: a flight for De Hoogvliegers, an foundation organizing flights for sick children. Hence the circle above De Efteling.

Cleaning staff at AMS Schiphol Airport will protest on Wednesday against working conditions. They won't go on strike, but will dress as zombies.

Methinks that the slots will become expensive at AMS. Unless the slot coordinator forces KLM to give away slots to reduce its 70% dominance...

Departure Hall 3 has just been evacuated for "a man claiming to have a bomb and shouting Allah Akbar".

Press reports suggest the Police subdued the man.
