It is much cheaper than bottled water. And with all due respect to Estonia, but this is a premium lounge in Brussels, not Estonia. people drink bottled water in Belgium, or let’s say that it is common to drink bottled water. Removing bottled water is just a sign of cutting costs in a very evident and cheap way.

Concerning plastic crap, they can easily replace with glass
Bottled water if they are concerned about the en it
Money. But they did not think of plastic, trust me.. they think that they found a brilliant way to cut costs. But they are stupid as this will backfire and they will eventually return the bottled water.

I meant cheap like style
I find a design glass bottle with fruits and petals floating in it much more stylish and personal than a plastic bottle.
But OK, we're not going to agree on this I feel
And I don't really think people will change lounges because of the water
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
I agree, it is not cheap in style. But not everyone likes that kind of water. They can offer whatever they like, but they can not eliminate bottled water. Some people only drink sparking water for instance.. we are not talking about champagne versus cava. It is simple and basic water.ezis_bis wrote: ↑16 Dec 2018, 12:01I meant cheap like style

Water fountains (sparkling, still, cold, room temperature) are the way to go.b720 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2018, 23:30 I agree, it is not cheap in style. But not everyone likes that kind of water. Unfortunately everything which is bottled gets stolen.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Tap water is very drinkable in Belgium and it’s better for the environment.
I think it’s better What they have now, compared to bottled water.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
It is a premium lounge! People using that lounge pay good money to fly SN and partners. And to imply that people steal bottled water? Rubbish! It is only to save money.
BTW more ecological to take the train..

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
That s an option, and it is ecological.. they can keep their flavoured tap water.. but they can not eliminate bottled water, Specially that one can t bring their own past security.

You can keep on discussing about tap water or bottled water, but OO-SFU is still on the ground after the engine failure(s) 4 days ago.convair wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 14:11You're saying "nobody noticed" while giving yourself a link to an article on this site's home page!?b.lufthansa wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 02:17 I am surprised nobody noticed the engine flame-out on the A330, after restarting the engine, the second engine failed during approach BRU. Suspecting fuel contamination in Kinshasa Airport.
IMO this could have gone a lot worse!

Anyway, if the fuel contamination is confirmed, it should be cause for big concern!
Btw, the incident was reported in the "Anomalies..." topic as well.

Did SN cancel the start of the Wroclaw route?

It happend probably in FIH!

If it’s fuel contamination there is a lot of cleaning to do: tanks, pumps, filters, tubes, pipes...Ansett wrote: ↑18 Dec 2018, 21:14 A naive question perhaps, since I have not followed the situation : why is OO-SFU still not flying ? According to Airbus a flame out is often caused by contaminated fuel and a landing at the nearest suitable airport should be considered.

Somewhere/someone mentioned maintenance?
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
I seem to recall it’s in LJU for a C-check?
And if I remember it correctly, it won’t return sporting the Tintin colour scheme, but it will return in SN colours.
