The unions call for a 24-hour strike at the bus company "De Lijn", which serves Brussels Airport through several routes, on 16 February.

Since a few weeks, Belgium has a legislation that imposes "minimal service level" for a strike at NMBS/SNCB, our Railways. A strike with national impact is now almost impossible - so the trade unions called a strike at a public transport service (sic) that is not covered in the new legislation.

Belgium's leftist trade union has just announced another strike: 27th February 2018.

Probably only at public services (though I don't understand how one can help the public services by closing them down for a day).

Roger Kesteloot, director-general De Lijn, accepts the strike. He has done nothing to prevent the strike, and he now says people will have to make alternative plans.

The strike is organized by all unions, so there will be almost no De Lijn busses on Friday: the unions will probably block the bus depots. Only exception will be the routes, served by external companies.

After De Lijn today, it is the other bus company serving Brussels Airport, STIB/MIVB, that will be on strike on 19 February: two of the three unions voted for the strike, but the main union (CSC/ACW) at STIB/MIVB decided to remain at work. It is unclear how the network will be affected.

Although several metro, tram and bus lines are served, line 12 to the airport is not. Air passengers should look for alternatives...

Warning of Brussels Airport:

Strike 27 February: public transport companies @NMBS, @STIBMIVB and @DeLijn warn of disruption across their entire transport network as of Mon 26 February 10 pm - Tue 27 February 10 pm. That also applies to public transport to and from Brussels Airport.

A national strike in Belgium tomorrow (23 March) ?? I wasn't aware of that one! Anyway Swissport workers are expected to go on strike, while Aviapartner will remain on the site.

The red union is going on tour "...against social dumping and equal pay"...

Translated: we will distribute flyers at Brucargo's parking from 06h30 a.m. till 07h30 a.m., and we will do our thing at Zaventem at 12h00.

Mobility Masters, the company that cleans aircraft cabins/galleys/toilets during turnaround is on strike. Mobility Masters has Brussels Airlines as a big client, but also other airlines.

The police of Brussels-Capital have informed us of two major events that might cause heavy traffic disruptions in Brussels and in Schuman area on Tuesday 27 March 2018.

500 taxis are expected to block (beginning with 05:00) the inner and outer ring surrounding Brussels-City and its 19 communes, the access roads to Zaventem airport and the Schuman area

(the other event announced does not touch the airport)

Brussels Airport recommends using the train to the airport.
