It seems that OO-JAL TUI 737-700 is AOG at ZTH Zakynthos: TB5243 flew BRU-ZTH on Friday afternoon, but on BrusselsAirport.be, the return flight TB-5244 Zakynthos-Araxos-Brussels is announced as delayed from Friday 21h10 to Saturday 15h20.

FR24 also shows no flights by OO-JAL after arrival BRU-ZTH:

TUIFly's E190 OO-JEB seems to be AOG @ANR since yesterday, causing disruptions to the ANR schedule. OO-TEA E190 was flown in from OST early this morning, while OO-JAX 737 was positioned to OST as a replacement. As this 737 can't complete the ANR sectors of the OST-ALC-ANR & back combo flights, ALC pax from ANR will reroute via BRU by bus.

Drie op een rij...

TUI's OO-JLO (737-800) TB5697 Ostend-Palma (PMI) had to return to Belgium, when east of Limoges. Reason: the paperwork wasn't done properly, according to newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

D-AIGL landed in BRU around 12h50 UTC, and took off again from BRU to FRA around 14h10 UTC.

This would point towards a divertion for medical reasons, but then D-AIGL went into a holding for 25 minuten, south of Bonn / west of Frankfurt:

Three days in a row OO-JEB is AOG @ANR....And today the OST-BCN-ANR & back flights operate out of OST with a 737 , so again the ANR sectors can't be flown and pax are "rerouted" via BRU by bus. Can't understand why one of the E190's operating this weekend out of BRU, isn't replaced by a 737, so that the regional airports can operate as planned with E190's.

Not only the older birds can get sick: OO-SFC was seemingly AOG at OUAGA on Saturday. It came back yesterday though and, feeling better, it's now on its way to Douala. :)

I think that phase 5 of works will only start next week on RWY22R but they are constantly working on taxiways and aprons so that may be a reason for not using that RWY even before they start working on it.

But also, although the main has a strong pavement (PCN88) the secondary is not designed to take the big bugs having a PCN of only 52. It would not like taking a full load 74 or T7 except in absolute necessity.

I don't know if the planned works will give that runway a stronger back to handle those heavies.

FYI, EBBR runways 01 and 25L have a PCN of 120, the "old" 25R has a PCN80.

H.A.

Edit : PCN = Pavement Classification Number. An expression of the pavement capacity to take loads, based on Aircraft weight, load distribution (landing gear geometry) and pavement construction (strength of sub layers).

I don't really like the title ('abnormality'), but anyway, two things:

1) does anyone know why there was a level A330 in the cargo apron Yesterday ?

2) and what about this white A330 near the hangars?

A visit at LH Technics. It was there last night.

The white one will most likely be a HiFly parked after maintenance.
