Foxtrot 1626 EBBR still closed to ARR.
Departures on RWY 07R. I suppose the Winter team is working at clearing RWY07L.

Looks like AY and a couple of SN went to EBLG.

So from 1608 till 1626 the ATIS went from Bravo to Foxtrot? A speed record, perhaps!

How come BRU seems to be the only one impacted ?
Its snowing everywhere

It looks like they just cleared RWY19 and opened it for landing (braking action medium)
I guess visibility/ceiling was not sufficient to continue landings on 07L and they had to revert to a more suitable runway (ILS equipped) wich probably was not treated on time. But that's a guess ;)

I'd figure that when your airport has 1 flight per hour your winter team has access to the runway for snow sweeping.

CRL arrivals : 1549 - 1620 - 1714 - 1740

Suppose BRU had to focus on maintaining one RWY active (it remained open for DEP).

Also looks like this is wet snow, falling on ground that is below freezing temp. No fun.
Probably the ILS critical areas would need to be swept as well though arrivals should remain on 07's for a while hence no ILS.

LUX is also closed. It's not in Belgium, but it's managed by a Belgian ;)

I drove my winter tyres equipped car over a concrete road and it was slippery as hell, I totally understand it at Brussels Airport!

Hence I wrote a small article: Snowfall on frozen tarmac disrupts air traffic at Brussels Airport

Stuck in BCN. late evening flight to BRU cancelled. No idea on solution yet: SN will look for extra BCN flight tomorrow if they find a plane. Flight was nearly full so a lot of people to take care of. Keep you posted.

Update Brussels Airport 20:40: At the moment, 130 flights are cancelled. Check your flight info online before coming to the airport. We’re installing beds and distributing food and water. Winter teams are working hard to clear a second runway.
