It seems that the snow will now also affect BRU-flights. Quite some holdings now.

Indeed, ATIS H and now K : expect vectoring for ILS approach, closed for arrivals....

FIN5MA was cleared to 25L minutes ago but still a number of holdings.

The actually diverted to their point of origin (CDG) after a go-around in LGG.

Thank you.
Yes indeed, as sdbelgium says, they went back to CDG. That's why looking at the weather before departure is so important. Holding at LUX, and diverting to LGG and back to CDG requires quite some extra fuel.

3 holdings over LGG
One flight AMS-LUX holding forever above LUX... strange weather forecast

LGG now receiving DFW-LUX (748) and KBP-DUS (pax)
And GYD-DUS? (744) and GDN-EIN (A321 pax) and VLC-EIN (737 pax) and OPO-EIN (737 pax) and ALC-NRN (737 pax)
2 more usual 744 on the way, it will be a 747 party, if anyone in the tower could make a pic it would be awsome

Amsterdam Schiphol will be closed for arrivals for at least half an hour as from now: "snow on the runways".

A few heavies are asking to divert to Brussels, but apparently BRU is closed for diversions, ATC tells them.

Despite light snowfall on BRU ( but can understand problems ), the JFK flight is SN's only long-haul flight that was canceled today ... a reason ? Thx...

Yes. Good evening, I think I can ask the question. I also think you do not have to answer me. I think that SN's long-haul flights are not very credible and that affects me personally. I make 20 long haul flights a year AR to YYZ / YVR and LAX by CDG or AMS and if it could be from BRU, it would be nice.
I do not like flying via an American company on intercontinental flights. I wonder about the recurrence of cancellations knowing that this is a very "touchy" topic on this site. ;) No answer is an answer. ;)
