Just one example of such difference: first month of an illness for a CRL-based Belgian cabin crew: Irish legislation = no pay out. Belgian legislation: pay out.
and that's wrong, I was always paid out from first day of illness. You are correct in saying that it is a landslide ruling which Ryanair is trying to minimise now in order to reduce the "fall out". I belive it's a good ruling that will work in favour of many employees in many companies around europe, depending on where they are based. The social security system in Belgium is extremely good, as in the netherlands, france, germany, etc... People based in eastern europe will actually lose a lot of their proctections currently governed by the Irish contract.

And ITR, seems like a very bitter pill to swallow that your company is using the same practices that you've condemned here on the forum multiple times when asking for a level playing field. Shame that you always (together with some others) have to play the man rather than the ball

'Belgian jurisdiction' and 'Belgian law' are very much interchangeable here, since any non-Irish court which accepts to hear a case will automatically apply its own law -not that of Ireland- as a court can never rule by any other law than it's own; it needs to refer the case to the competent foreign court in that case.
Unless Belgian law is different than Dutch law (which I doubt), this is not correct. Any Dutch court will/should follow the law under which the contract has been written, not Dutch law automatically. We even have special chambers for such purposes in The Nethelands (though they are used for handling business law). As such Irish law would still apply. However, the question arises if the Belgian courts are equipped to handle this (and likely will result in another case at the ECJ). In the end, this will be something new to them.

Didn't expect that, now that it is in your advantage, double standards much, but if the only thing you can do is make personal remarks without actually commenting on topic it's a sad state of affairs
