I would consider Qeshm to Tehran as longhaul, or are those flights discontinued already ?HQ_BRU_Lover wrote: ↑31 Aug 2017, 12:38 Fantastic news, well done to those involved!

Eurocontrol defines short-haul routes as shorter than 1,500 km (810 nmi), medium-haul between 1,500 and 4,000 km (810 and 2,160 nmi) and long-haul routes as longer than 4,000 km (2,200 nmi).

Does anyone know where the Qeshm flights can be booked ? even on their own website, Brussels is not listed as an origin/destination.. I looked at a few OTA's, but no flights showed up on Tuesday to Tuesday flights to IKA in the coming weeks.

Re: Cathay Pacific has announced it will open new direct non-stop routes to Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen
No doubt now that CX "and their code share partner" have announced their flight and able to start sales, the BCAA will soon release the aoc for air belgium
Re: Cathay Pacific has announced new direct non-stop routes to Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen
I read on airlinersnet that CX is closing down Düsseldorf service to open Brussels connection. What are the chances of Cathay succeeds in Brussels, particularly as there are quite a lot of flights to Asia now
So is it realistic for Asiana and Singapore to open connections to Brussels as well? In nutshell, is the market between brussels/Belgium and Asia that big?
Thanks

Re: Cathay Pacific has announced new direct non-stop routes to Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen
I think there's a market yes, especially as CX has excellent connections to the South of China (e.g. Fujian Province) and the rest of Asia / Oceania.
That I don't know... of course there will be cannibalism on other routes like e.g. Thai on BKK or HU on PEK and PVG...
Cheers,
Stij
