Was following FR24 at JFK as my mom leaving for BRU...
SN502 due out at 1815 was a bit late pushing back... then did the usual line up taxi around the airport towards rwy 22R for takeoff... upon reaching the aircraft stood in between 22R and 22L for about an hour and it is now 2030 and its taxiing back to the gate. Would assume mechanical...

Engine problem and crew went out of duty.
LH A380 had at the same time a cancellation.
Tonight there are two flights SN502 & SN1502.

So today will be like the good old days when I worked for SN and we had 2 flights out of JFK
SN542 and SN548 if I remember correctly....
If anyone remembers Jay O'Brien at SN/JFK he's currently Station Manager at Air Berlin... me I just make some videos LOL

Btw, SN flew one of its 747s to Kinshasa 3-4 times a week for a few months (weeks?), but Mobutu didn't like that because Air Zaïre didn't have any!
And ,on some days during summer, even 4 flights from JFK; but the extra ones were B707s as SN544 and SN546 (loooonnnggg time ago! ).
