Post by JustPlanes »

Was following FR24 at JFK as my mom leaving for BRU...
SN502 due out at 1815 was a bit late pushing back... then did the usual line up taxi around the airport towards rwy 22R for takeoff... upon reaching the aircraft stood in between 22R and 22L for about an hour and it is now 2030 and its taxiing back to the gate. Would assume mechanical...

Engine problem and crew went out of duty.
LH A380 had at the same time a cancellation.

Tonight there are two flights SN502 & SN1502.
Best regards,

Yes, the B747-100s SGA and SGB, and later the B747-300s SGC and SGD if I remember well (+ occasional ones leased from AF during the C (or D?)-checks of their own).

Btw, SN flew one of its 747s to Kinshasa 3-4 times a week for a few months (weeks?), but Mobutu didn't like that because Air Zaïre didn't have any! ;)

And ,on some days during summer, even 4 flights from JFK; but the extra ones were B707s as SN544 and SN546 (loooonnnggg time ago! :) ).
