Qatar Airways can now access limited Bahraini and UAE airspace after the nations approved a new route for the airline. The move follows a directive from ICAO to Gulf states, telling them to honour their airspace agreements with Qatar.
BTW, Oman Air must be making quite a lot of money because of the ban: they are the only gulf airline with connections between DOH and the rest of the gulf (KWI, BAH, DXB, AUH, Saudi Arabia) via Muscat.
I flew DXB-MCT-DOH (787 and 330 now), and most of the pax from DXB connected to DOH.
