Post by Passenger »

On 5th October 2016, an Air Dolomiti ERJ-195 (BRU-MUC, LH-2293) departed EBBR BRU 07R without take off clearance, forcing an Aer Lingus A320 (EI-638, DUB-BRU) to go around on ATC's instructions.

From that article: "...C’était des vols passagers en plus, vous imaginez"...

What the hell! Two aircraft with passengers, taking off and landing at BRU? That should be forbitten indeed.

Very clear report showing shared responsibilities, the main cause being naturally take-off without clearance by the AirDolomiti E195, but with a lot of other contributing factors.

I was surprised to read that the Aer Lingus First Officer was Belgian :)
