Quite disappointed in SN as I wanted to fly with them in June 2018.
Asked begin October when flights for June (to Lanzarote) would become available. At first, response was 'in some days'. So I got back to them some days later (thought it was around the 10th of October) as nothing changed on their website. New response 'end of October'. We're the 3th of November now and still no flights available.
I especially wanted to wait for their fares and compare to Ryanair, which is the only competitor on the route, a I'm a fan of 'value' tickets (the 'cheaper isn't always better' story). Sadly enough, Ryanair has its -very attractive- fares already available for some couple of weeks and I'll book them now right away for 150€ return (seat allocation, priority boarding, fast lane, bag 20kgs).
Might be I'm the only one who faces this kind of problem, but just wanted to tell my story (and once again: please no SN vs. FR battle, unless it's a constructive discussion).

TUI is also flying to ACE.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
And for flights in June, Ryanair offers a 78€ return from CRL, while TUI says 302€ from BRU.

The terminal looks a bit better than the shack appearing on the main page news though.

Nobody is writing about the new catering concept that was introduced this week ?
Less food for business class but they can order from the menu card what they like.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
It’s actually the same what Eurowings is doing. If you buy their ‘best’ fare you have unlimited choices from their menu which SN applied last week. It’s pretty smart to reduce the on board standard offer (and to introduce an a la carte choice)and to maximize the lounge offer.b.lufthansa wrote: ↑07 Nov 2017, 22:26 Nobody is writing about the new catering concept that was introduced this week ?

Some additions on the concept:
- For flights before 10am nothing changed (same breakfast as before)
- On a few very short/business heavy flights like GVA, HAM, LHR, HAN, ... nothing changed either
- On other destinations on flights after 10am, Bizz&Class passengers now have a full a-la-carte choice from the buy-on-board product range which has been extended with a few additional 'premium' meals (larger and nicer salad and a hot meal from Foodmaker + fruit salad) on which B&C guests always have 1st choice - this tackles the primary complaint of Bizz&Class guests that too often they were eating the same thing and were not offered a choice. It also brings the concept closer to that of Eurowings indeed, with the difference that SN's award-winning buy-on-board concept and product range is quite a bit more qualitative than that of EW at the moment.
- All other specific service additions (champagne, drinks in real glasses, more premium cuttlery, hot towels, chocolates, ...) remained unchanged.

OO-SND just landed at Boa Vista (Cape Verde) after a 5h43' trip as SN3837.
This flight has about same distance and same duration as BRU-Dakar flights. It reminds me of the discussions on this forum on the use of A319/A320 for some of the SN's Afi flights (remember Flanker2? ). It might be worth revisiting that option now.

An SN cabin crew member claims she received permanent injuries after a fume event on an A330.
SN denies responsibility and says there is no substantial evidence between fume events and permanent injuries

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
EW is now flying BRU-Tegel twice a day, with SN codeshare. However, EW doesn't codeshare on SN's 2 dailies on that same route!
Only a small thing, but...I'm afraid that those who say CS wants to kill SN might be right after all...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
SN needs that codeshare on the EW flights to continue offering the same frequency on TXL as before, however SN doesn't need EW's codeshare on the other flights because that simply wouldn't add value (pax that want to fly on those flights will do so anyway, SN wouldn't win pax with it, however if the flights are also available via EW, a small part of the revenue would run off to EW). Only once reciprocity based transfer links can be offered via TXL, it would make sense to add the SN operated flights under codeshare.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
That's indeed a problem, but direct channel online sales are not everything either. The question is of course whether EW's current IT systems fully support codeshare sales directly via their website, I'm not so sure about that actually.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
EW is using Navitaire while the other LHG carriers are using Amadeus.
Navitaire is quiet restricted and ticketless so I don't know if it is posible to use Navitaire to book SN flights.

Do you know what they complain about exactly?
