SFT should arrive in BRU today or tomorrow. She can only start operating when cleared by the Belgian Authorities, probably next week tuesday only ... :(

Wonder what the issue is, seems she's been registered on January 31 already so that means that most (if not all) of the paperwork was in good order.

As the l/h fleet renewal/extension will be confirmed soon, what can we expect as new destinations? Africa only? US/Canada (Boston, San Francisco)? Asia?

There will be a press conference on Thursday, in the first place to present the financial figures for 2016, I don't know if the A330 fleet renewal will also be announced (it could very well be).

SN made more than €20M profit in 2016, despite devastating terror attacks, closing its hub for several weeks!

Post by tolipanebas »

• SN booked an operational profit of 20.4 million euro over 2016
• Net profit stoot at 15 million euro
• 1.271 billion euro revenue and 3.2% passenger growth
• 2.5 million euro profit redistribution to personnel (already included in the net result)
• Further strategic investments and expansion planned

Wait, in another thread you say that the fleet won't expand anymore after 2017 yet they still have growing ambitions? Seems one contradicts the other? Certainly when they want to go from 7,7 to 10 million pax, this is a 30% increase?

Correct me if I am mistaken, but that would mean 35% market share for SN @ BRU... still relatively weak for a home carrier but anyway in a positive "growing trend"!
One could maybe add, even a little more than 35% if you take into account the SN charter activities (I don't how many PAX these could represent... maybe someone can tell us btw...).

What an amazing performance for brussels airlines in 2016, despite a dramatically challenging year! Congrats SN & staff especially!
And btw, nice ambitions regarding 2018!
