As found on en.wikipedia

But with only 4 rotations per week, what type or category of passengers are they aiming at?
I wonder what has changed since 2014 when flybe operated this route for a short time.

Edit: according to Airports International (source: http://www.airportsinternational.com/20 ... y-80/19335) the route will be operated between 17 June and 09 September.

Tomorrow Flybe will publish the schedule from June until 9 September 2018. So no indication that it will be a summer only route, schedule after 9 September will be published at a later date.

And this time it has a better chance of working. Low cost, low frequency. Previous time it was 2 daily and launched at the same time as EZY from BRU to LGW with 2 daily A319. Flybe/Stobart will this time offer the only low cost option between Belgium and London.

Brussels airlines offers London heathrow flights for 70 euro roundtrip in check&go.
Flybe offered flights to southend for 34.99 euro one way when they previously tried.

So i dont see them winning on price...

If they're not necessarily winning on price, but when they are on-par with the SN Check&Go flight, they might still steal enough marketshare to be profitable. They might be convincing people to fly from/to ANR in stead of going to the (bigger, further,...) BRU. Similar argument for SEN: it's a bit further from central London, but as it's smaller it might be more convenient.
Southend Airport - King's Cross (reference point for "central London") = 1h15-1h30
Heathrow Airport - King's Cross (reference point for "central London") = 0h45-1h10
London City Airport - King's Cross (reference point for "central London") = 0h35-0h50

Again so many negative comments, and this happens every time a new initiative is announced on ANR. Recently VLM has been the focus of criticism and scepticism, now FlyBe. Fact is that we never had so many passengers on ANR and all TUIFLY fligths are FULL (people complaning that they need to go to Eindhoven or Rotterdam to get to Malaga, ANR has no availability). Average load factors on TUI are above 100 pax... The reason why FlyBe stopped last time (together with 2 other European destinations) was that they needed to free up 2 ATRs, to fly wet-lease for CityJet (I am even thinking that CityJet asked FlyBe to stop ANR in return, to have less competition on their ANR-LCY flights😖). Isn't strange, CityJet stops and FlyBe comes back....this must not be because of low load factors. On top, pax can transfer in SEN to 15 other destinations, a.o. Manchester (which was a popular destination from ANR), DUB, GLA. So, I am pretty sure they have a good chance to succeed this time.

OO-ARO was indeed cancelled on November 17, 2016 so that plane is gone.
