By the way, OO-VLN was flying today and OO-VLQ has been undergoing engine maintenance/testing this W.E.

Since 7 July 2017 they have 3 Fokker 50s on the Slovenian AOC: OO-VLI, OO-VLN and OO-VLS

And the ICAO code for the Slovenian AOC airline is WLM rather than VLM :)

In Slovenia, mostly yes. The further away, the less it will get :)

And yet... Barcelona is less far away than Irkutsk - to name just two cities. But I'll bet you the most distant of the two will do best in this little contest.

In the news article you copied "Zara" as destination (which likely only Italian passengers may understand ...)
"Zara" stands for Zagreb ...

Ah, thanks, I was wondering indeed! Along the same lines, Zante seems to stand for the Greek Island of Zakynthos, and Spalato for Split. We should be aware many of these places were under Italian control at one or other point in time, some even quite recently.

I'm sorry but Zara is Italian for Zadar, not Zagreb. A friend of mine just went there on holiday and we were joking about Zara (as it is also the Spanish clothing brand)
