Conway indeed said "the Bowling Green Massacre", and this had to be "the Bowling Green Terrorists". But then, it was not meant to mislead, and it was said in a long interview with Chris Green (MSNBC). And she said "Bowling Green Massacre" only once in the interview, as reference to the six month ban that Obama installed for Iraqi citizens in 2009. Ban that was accepted by all, including by those who now protest against Trump's decision for a three months ban for citizens from Iraq and 6 other countries.

Seriously: one must hate Trump extremely much to even think that American citizens don't know that there never was a massacre in Bowling Green.

The fake news is that press jumps on it, without clearing that there was indeed a file "Bowling Green Terrorists" leading to a six months ban by Obama. False news is where Het Nieuwsblad (see link in Seans post) reports: "Maar een inreisverbod tegen Iraakse vluchtelingen heeft nooit plaatsgevonden". What a lie! Obama installed a six months ban against Iraqis in 2011, when the FBI informed him about... Bowling Green. Even The Washington Post admits that.

There was no ban, only a serious slowdown of the visa approvals for Iraqis.

Can we now stop this discussion? I think everyone had the opportunity to express his views about the Bowling Green whatever you want to call it ?

The Department of Homeland Security said it has suspended all actions to implement President Donald Trump's immigration order.

The department will resume inspections of travellers as it did prior to the signing of the executive order, DHS acting press secretary Gillian Christensen said in a statement.

Trump's order bars citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for 90 days, all refugees for 120 days and indefinitely halts refugees from Syria.

Meanwhile, a State Department official tells CNN the department has reversed the cancellation of visas that were provisionally revoked following the Trump administration's travel ban -- so long as those visas were not stamped or marked as cancelled.

That's mostly because back in 2011, there WAS no six month ban on Iraqis. Or a one month ban for that matter. Or indeed any ban at all.

Here's what happened back in 2011: two Iraqi refugees in the US were arrested for aiding terrorists in Iraq. Fingerprints of one of them were found on a roadside bomb in Iraq. It was discovered that there was a flaw in the refugee screening process, whereby databases of militants in Iraq were not well intergrated in the screening process for refugees. It was therefore decided to review all recent admissions of Iraqi refugees (57,000 of them) against all available databases. That's a lot of work, and takes up a lot of time. This meant that the number of Iraqi refugees cleared slowed significantly during that period, but it never stopped, and there was never a ban on Iraqis entering the US. Iraqis cleared by the new process were admitted to the US during the entire six month period.

What happened in 2011 is in no way comparable to what is happening now.

What Het Nieuwsblad reports is 100% correct.

The US Appeals Court has rejected a request to immediately reinstate the Trump travel ban

Nonetheless, Donald Trump is predicting the US Justice Department will win the appeal it has filed against a judge’s order lifting a travel ban he had imposed on citizens of seven mainly-Muslim countries.

The ruling lifting Trump’s temporary ban imposed on refugee admissions was made by District Judge James Robart late on Friday in Seattle. He questioned the constitutionality of Trump’s order.

USA travel bans result in demand slump for Trump

The sudden but short-lived travel ban that President Donald Trump imposed on nationals from seven mainly Muslim countries entering the USA appears to be deterring travellers from other countries around the world too, according to analysis by intelligence provider ForwardKeys. The Valencia-based company’s analysis has discovered a 6.5 per cent negative variation in bookings compared with the equivalent eight-day period the year before.

A US federal appellate court has upheld the suspension of President Donald Trump’s ban on nationals from seven countries from entering the US, roundly rejecting the Trump administration’s rationale for re-instituting the ban.

President Donald Trump was defiant Thursday night after an appeals court ruled against reinstating his administration's travel ban.

"SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE," Trump tweeted.

At least 12 aircraft violated temporary flight restrictions through Monday afternoon for President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago stay, with at least five of those having the unique experience of being buzzed by military aircraft.

Eight of those crossed the line on Friday alone, with three of those having what likely were unsettling encounters with F-15 jets and one with a military helicopter, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

NORAD said F-15s from Homestead Air National Guard Base intercepted small planes at about 4, 5 and 7 p.m. Friday and at noon Sunday, and a military helicopter encountered an aircraft around 6 p.m. Friday.

In Friday’s 7 p.m. encounter, two F-15s needed less than 14 minutes to fly the estimated 75 miles from Homestead, south of Miami. The encounter “required the Air Force F-15s to travel at supersonic speeds, a sound noticed by area residents."
