Following some comments above, Brussels Airlines would like to clarify their position:
  • Brussels Airlines have no intention to move their popular Brussels-Stockholm Bromma flights from Bromma Airport to Stockholm Arlanda as stated in some comments.
  • Even after the complete phase-out of the AVRO RJ regional fleet (scheduled for approx. November 2017), Brussels Airlines will continue to offer flights with regional aircraft types operated by partner airlines to regional/city airports like Stockholm Bromma. No final decisions have been taken yet. Brussels Airlines will communicate about this in due time.

Some good news of the current trade mission in China.

It is confirmed that next year there will be a second direct connection with China ex-BRU.
As expected it will be the route Brussels - Shanghai.
Hainan Airlines will fly the route

An even better news would have been that Brussels Airlines would operate the route. But that could only be a dream.

I heard that SN could maintain Bromma using A319.
Anybody more on this?

Hi,
Could be but surely NOT with full payload, flying empty Airbusses won't make much sense to me in favour of a small full wetlease !
Or Luftie bring us the CS or EMB please ;)

Where do you get that only an empty Airbus can operate at ESSB?
A319 and A320 fly in and out of LIRQ which has a TORA/ASDA 150m shorter than ESSB.

BMA can be operated by A319 without restriction on 1000nm sectors.

Did SN ever send an A319 to BMA?

Never indeed.
Doesn't mean it is not possible.
Again others operate at Florence.

SN is IIRC the only international operator out of BMA.
Think it has to do with the code share with Malmoe Aviation.
This strong local opposition to the development of the airport activity will probably ban any other to move in, but SN is a legacy operator there for years.

Hi,
Florence is operated with a dedicated Airbus for this operation, other used ones are restricted also !
Don't think BMA will alow Airbus operations as the neighbourhood didn't want more operations at BMA but far less, also BMA has to less ground equipment for handling bigger planes, the biggelt plane there now is arj100, others are s2000,s350, do328, arj85, atr, ATP ;)
Not soon an a320 will be land there I guess,...
If so ARN will be next ;)

CXB , but you never know for sure offcourse ...

WW463 BRU-KEF (days: 1357): 12h25 - 13h50
WW462 KEF-BRU (days: 1357): 06h15 - 11h35

50 minutes rotation in BRU, quite quickly I think...
