SAS lounge in Oslo was just as busy, minus the choice in food

That's exactly what I meant: or K&R or parking to accompany/help passenger with luggage.convair wrote:I fully agree with you. The drivers should not be allowed to get out of their car, except only to help discharging the luggage and a brief goodbye. It's organized like that in many airports and, wherever it is strictly enforced, it works perfectly well.Conti764 wrote: What the new K&R should be, if it ever returns, it two through lanes with minimal parking space. One for taxi's and tour operator busses to drop off passengers and one for regular cars dropping of passengers. This system is way more managable for the police then the old system which was chaotic and only created frustration and traffic jams...
Under these conditions, the K&R is a normal facility you can expect at every airport and as such it MUST return at BRU as well.
Makes sense. It's OK for a terrorist to blow himself to pieces on a train in the "Diabolo" tunnel, but not in the elevator to the departures level...Freken wrote:Some good(?) news from BRU, the railway station in the "Diamant" will open again as of tomorrow, pre-screening will be performed in the station itself.

Do you really think that implementing new security technology can happen in a few hours, or days? Get over it, and give airport management the time to develop a decent solution for these security matters.lumumba wrote:I'm in Brussels Airport to take my flight and I was surprised that the tents are still there!!!!
It's horrible looks like third world country...
If these checks stay's they have to do it properly with a good infrastructure.
Ok I hear you and understand.Tompompier wrote:Do you really think that implementing new security technology can happen in a few hours, or days? Nobody likes the tents, nobody wants the situation like it is nowadays. Some terrorists decided otherwise. A lot of people are working their asses of (excusez moi le mot), to make the airport go back to normal. So please, stop whining, and enjoy your flight!
I rest my case.

I do not mind the tent by itself as a temporary building but getting this on road useless inspection (lost 10 minutes late morning at 11:00!) + queuing before the pre-check (5 minutes) is really a lost of time and create a feeling of insecurity.lumumba wrote:I'm in Brussels Airport to take my flight and I was surprised that the tents are still there!!!!

Next booking will be DUS again even if I feel bad for all workers working hard in the BRU)
You probably feel more comfortable in DUS because you speak English like a German...evyncke wrote:I do not mind the tent by itself as a temporary building but getting this on road useless inspection (lost 10 minutes late morning at 11:00!) + queuing before the pre-check (5 minutes) is really a lost of time and create a feeling of insecurity.lumumba wrote:I'm in Brussels Airport to take my flight and I was surprised that the tents are still there!!!!

You're going to another airport because this one time at BRU you lost a grand total of, wait for it .... 15 minutes?evyncke wrote:I do not mind the tent by itself as a temporary building but getting this on road useless inspection (lost 10 minutes late morning at 11:00!) + queuing before the pre-check (5 minutes) is really a lost of time and create a feeling of insecurity.lumumba wrote:I'm in Brussels Airport to take my flight and I was surprised that the tents are still there!!!!
