SN is probably paying for them and their crew sitting idle anyway. the contract needs to be honoured

From 31 March until 6 April included, Vueling continues to operate from Lille airport

Vueling informs that, until Tuesday 6 April included, the airline will continue to operate all its Brussels’ flights from the nearby Lille Lesquin Airport in France.

The complete list of cancellations can also be found on vuelingnews.com and is regularly updated. Clients are kindly asked to refer to this list for the latest information. Only PAX, no cargo/GA.

This was the situation at one particular moment. Most of the SN planes (except maybe the Dash 8) have been moving around quite a lot, not only for flights to/from ANR, LGG, ZRH, and FRA but also positioning and repositionong a lot. Must have cost a fortune!

Of course,

For SN, only OO-DWK and OO-SSU didn't move since the 22th.

One would think that insurances would somewhat compensate airlines for their business disruption no?

In case you have been rebooked already, please keep this rebooking or contact your travel agent if you want to change to Liège flights, subject to seats available. You can only travel on Liège flights with confirmed booking from/to Liège.

Please note that for both arrival and departure in Liège, passengers have to arrange their own transport. Liège airport provides free shuttle bus between Liège airport and Liège train station. Furthermore:

BTW, I had a very nice experience à LGG on Thursday 31st of April. No chaos albeit crowded but very well organized. Posting a more elaborate post if it is deemed useful

Does anybody have more news about Vueling operations as of Wednesday the 6th of April ? I fly out of Lille tomorrow, fine, but wonder if my return flight from Lisbon on Wednesday evening will be operating back to Lille or BRU... A bit risky to drive my car to Lille and then find out the return is to BRU... Any info is much appreciated...

Very tricky situation indeed. I would say take the train to Lille, then cab/bus to the airport..but if u land in BrU and there is no public transport?

What I read here is nothing short of chaos. It's a complete mess.
Fares out of BRU for anything until the summer holidays are very low though.
