Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks

Post by DIBO »

Only at ANR with it's 'out of the ordinary' rwy 29-11 orientation , this will become a concern given the wind from 210-220°, resulting in a 70-80° crosswind with gusts forecasts, especially tomorrow, up to 30+kts and with a good chance of a wet runway. All this on a short rwy, it might get sporty. But for now, things are running smoothly.

And OO-SSG as SN1199, from BRU to ... (given the direction and FL370, it might end up in LIS)

A passenger flight from BRU ???

And then I also see an Avro flying to LGG rather than to ANR: SN1622 from NCE (OO-DWG).

And finally SN9908 (OO-SSG) from MLA (to LGG?)

It were the Red Devils which flew to Portugal, they left from Abelag (which is open for business just like EBMB). ;)

Wrong info from Flightradar I guess. OO-DWG from NCE is approaching ANR as we speak.

At least a lot of gusty wind:

Code: Select all

EBAW 271720Z 25022G43KT 5000 SHRA FEW012 SCT020CB BKN040 08/04 Q1007 TEMPO 4000 SHRA
which is 43 knots of gusts about 80 km/h or more :o with cross wind from the right at about 50 km/h

Shaky for passengers :?

I just read the article on the work of the Brussels Airlines crisis team. We can be proud of our national carrier! The crisis committee and all the staff members were able to record, in very difficult circumstances, an incredible challenge! Good job and long life to SN!

Does anyone know what happened with SN1614, supposed to be the return flight from Bilbao to Antwerp? Looking at the Antwerp Airport website and FR24, it seems it's been cancelled. The outbound however (SN1613) WAS flown, so it looks like OO-DWB will (be forced to) nightstop in Bilbao.
