Seems that all staff will be based at Antwerp.
So little chance of seeing VLM at OST.

Any idea when there'll be some new information?

- base?
- aircraft number and type?
- livery?
- routes?

Some small but potentially important news: a total of 7 Fokker 50's now show SHS Antwerp Aviation as the 'holder' in the Belgian register. Up until recently, all of these planes were still registered to VLM Airlines but have now been linked to the new company.

I'm not sure about the exact rules, but could this mean the AOC has been granted?

The planes in question are: OO-VLI, OO-VLJ, OO-VLN, OO-VLO, OO-VLQ, OO-VLS, OO-VLZ.

Not sure if it was mentioned here but last month SHS did raise their capital to 5 million EUR, up from 65.000 EUR before.

It's more 6.5 Fokker 50's, as OO-VLO is stored in ANR but has been cannibalized for parts if I'm not mistaken.
As for the other previous VLM aircraft:
OO-VLF: now known as PH-DMT? (Vizionair Livery?)
OO-VLL: parked at Memmingen?
OO-VLM: now known as PH-VLM, owned by Denim air?
OO-VLP: now known as PH-DMS? last flight was to RTM, Vizionair Livery?

You're absolutely right about OO-VLO. Judging by the look of it recently, it's in no shape to fly. But still, I guess they had to register it as well :)

As for the other four: OO-VLL is apparently now known as PH-DMD (again) and gone to Denim Air as well. Then again, who knows what's going to happen with that company now that they lost their AOC.

Maybe it's kept for Captain Jack? That's a new Aviation Park next to Sunparks Mol (somewhat halfway between Antwerp and Hasselt), expected to open in 2018. They already said they will have a F-50 on display.

Incident from 21 April 2016:

A VLM Fokker 50, registration OO-VLF performing flight VG-322 from Berlin Tegel to Friedrichshafen with 33 passengers and 3 crew, was on approach to Friedrichshafen's runway 24 being radarvectored by Friedrichshafen Approach Control onto a right hand traffic pattern at 4000 feet MSL (minimum vectoring altitude) with the intention to turn the aircraft onto final track 11nm before the runway threshold.

A private Piper was at 4000 feet MSL about 20nm east of the aerodrome inbound to Friedrichshafen on a different frequency (VFR control) when the VFR controller instructed the aircraft to join the final approach course runway 24 and subsequently handed the aircraft off to tower. Tower instructed the aircraft to turn right towards waypoint OSCAR and remain outside the control zone.

A short term collision alert activated at both the approach controller's desk as well as at the tower. Approach provided traffic information about an unknown VFR traffic to OO-VLF. The crew of OO-VLF looked out for the conflicting traffic but were unable to pick up the aircraft due to sun glare (position and reflection of sun) and thus could only identify the position of the conflicting traffic via their TCAS display. The commander decided to turn right 90 degrees.

At the same time the pilot of the Piper had established visual contact with the Fokker and advised ATC accordingly. However, due to the avoidance maneouver initiated by the Fokker the separation between the aircraft reduced to 100 feet vertical and 0.5nm horizontally.
