ANR-GVA: VLM will stop, but route will be taken over by a new company as from 14 March 2016.
Who ever that new airline may be: they start the route within one month, and still no sales??? Must be an airline with a lot of cash, allowing them to start up a new route with a very low load factor.

And what to think from Chalair? Also a small French company flying several Beechcraft 1900's (19 seats).

Chalair, Twinjet, ASL France, HOP, ... we will know after the press moment planned for the last week of February (and it is not Takeair). Start date ANR to GVA 14 March 2016 is all we know for the moment.

You know more than most of us it seems :) I looked at Chalair as well, but they seemed to focus more on destinations in the South of France and less 'adventurous' compared to Twin Jet. But of course, the only thing that matters is who signed the contract :)

ASL is a bigger group... ASL Switzerland has a passenger ATR42, but doesn't sell tickets on scheduled flights as ASL France does. And ASL Aviation Group is owned for a big part by Belgian companies (CMB from Antwerp)... But I also don't think it will be them. Just wanted to illustrate that there are more options... in the next two weeks we will know.

French company Chalair will indeed take over the flights between Antwerp and Geneva (no date mentioned, but I assume they could start as early as March 14). In addition, they will start flying between Antwerp and Caen (Normandy) 3 times a week as from April 4th. This is their new routemap:

None of the Antwerp routes are bookable just yet.

Antwerp-Caen, excellent news! I think it has the chance to work. I will personally use it if the price are ok as my parent has a second home in Deauville. I think JAF self will use the flight as for the moment the crew proceed by bus between Brussels and Deauville where there is some flight to holiday destination. I'm very happy about that but I would definitely prefer from Brussels.

But what will be the fare to travel to geneva?? In france there is also another company (twinjet) flying with the beech 1900 doing domestic flights and they are not really that cheap!!

Well i was hoping another company doing this flight.

Looks like the cheapest flights are around 255 euro return. That sort of makes sense if you're aiming at business travellers and want to make these flights sustainable. However.. the timings are rather odd and they're charging almost the same fares for the Caen flight - on a route that's far more oriented towards leisure travelers.

Are Chalair reliable? They've just abandoned LUX-LYS a few weeks after launching it.

They did, very shortly after Hop announced they would start flying the route... but long before those flights actually started. So I wouldn't especially call them reliable or in it for the long run. But who knows, let's give the benefit of the doubt.

Sorry, but IMHO they should fly Bordeaux-LE HAVRE-Antwerp and NOT BOD-Deauville-ANR.
3 ports connected and more potential for higher yielding business-passengers(and even some cargo)

Why are Bologna, Hannover, Milan Malpensa, Munich and Nürnberg in VLM's booking engine departing Antwerp?

As you can read on their website you can book your flights to some bigger professional tradefairs online now... tradefairs.be organise these flights already several years as charter, maybe now they like some extra revenue selling separate tickets... but not cheap

Is it already known which aircraft Chalair will use on its two new routes out of Antwerp? Chalair's fleet comprises an ATR 42-300 (46 seats) and a Beechcraft 1900D (19 seats). My guess: ATR to Geneva and Beech to Caen.

Both routes will be operated by the Beechcraft 1900D according to Chalair's booking engine. 8-)

Price is ok I would say, provided it comes with all the to be expected amenities and flexibility you normally get for this kind of a fare? The typical GVA passenger doesn't usually care about the odd 20 euro (otherwise, better not to go there at sell as everything is extremely expensive over there), but I agree that for a place like Caen, it will be difficult to fill the plane at those prices! Or is it just a way to get the plane in Antwerp for them which they commercialize? It looks like their nearest destination, so it could very well be.

You mention odd timings: what does the proposed schedule look like? Haven't seen it posted.
