From a Dutch forum on AMS movements:

Today will be the last departure for ASL (TNT) B777 OO-TSB...
All B777's go to Fedex...
OO-TSC is the first to leave: it's in Singapore now for a new colour scheme...
OO-TSB will leave end of February...
OO-TSA will be at LGG for two more weeks only...

That means no 777 left on the Belgian registry :(

Sold to FX or operated by ASL for FX (like they operate for EK) and remaining on the Belgian AOC?

That's the bad news :-(
They will leave the belgian AOC.

Ex-777 pilots will move to the 747. Might be not too bad for them, but it will block people from the smaller fleets for years...

Far from the truth.

What's the truth then?

There were a few free spaces on the 747 for the most senior F/O's, but the future of that fleet is unknown to them, and nobody seems to be moving to the 747 anymore. Captains that moved only went to 737.

EU court agreed with UPS that the EU had wrongly blocked its takeover of TNT (Netherlands) four years ago, potentially allowing UPS to sue regulators for damages.

Court of Justice of the European Union, 16/01/2019, Judgment in Case C-265/17p = European Commission versus United Parcel Service: "...The Court of Justice confirms that the Commission’s decision prohibiting the acquisition of TNT Express by UPS must be annulled due to procedural irregularity. By this decision, the European Court of Justice opens the way to a US$2 billion damages claim by UPS. Wow! The lawyers will put a lot of money in their pockets on this case.

Funny thing, you know I have been on this forum for a decade I guess now, but there is a thing that does not change....
If discussion is on a walloon topic and if passenger is posting something, ...i know it's bad news for us (walloon)...I don't critisize, it's just observation.

Funny thing, Fedex bought TNT, not TNT Airways. Anything related to TNT is not related to aviation specifically. :-)

Well, wrong observations then:

1. I only posted an update here on a similar post from André, back from 2017. There is a final decision now, from the ultimate court. Looks quite relevant actually.

2. Whenever I get news that hasn't been posted about whatever Belgian airport, and that I think that it is relevant (= subjective judgement indeed), I post it. Good or bad: I don't make that difference. No matter what airline, no matter what airport. Example: I joined webmaster André with his doubts about the man who was in charge of VLM Antwerp (Harm P.). Example: few days ago, I was the first one to report about OO-SNA's landing gear issue, causing a temporary runway closure.

3. It's not easy for me to publish good news about a walloon airport, because a lot of people do that before it appears somewhere in Dutch (MSM, travel news, mail, ...). However, it is my observation that some French speaking people here don't like to post "bad news" about walloon airports, even when the walloon press reports it in full force.

(by the way: I joined Aviation24.be in 2010, but I joined Luchtzak.be 15 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't survive that historic website/data crash).

FedEx Express will complete the air network integration in early 2022, which will bring the physical TNT network integration to a close and provides the inflexion point for long-term profit improvement in Europe. With consequences for LGG?

The only thing we know so far is that FedEx is supposed to move many flights from LGG to CDG but nothing is completely done yet.
We'll have to wait and see what future brings.
