"Historic first landing of a Boeing 757-200 passenger jet at St Helena Airport, and largest aircraft to date, when the Titan Airways flight touched down on Thu 30 July, 2020.

This special repatriation charter flight from UK brought in 51 passengers, (including 7 from Ascension Island) and returned to the UK next day with 94 passengers.

This video was taken over two days - the arrival on 30 July, then a series of training circuits on the airport the next morning.

Special thanks to St Helena Airport for facilitating the making of this video.

"Titan Airways, Airbus A318 landing on St Helena Airport, bringing long-awaited Coronavirus, (Covid-19), test kits and other medical supplies, plus approximately 10 passengers, including three new medical workers to supplement the island’s health service.
Series of training and proving runs carried out on the runway afterwards".

After receiving medical equipment, St Helena is now getting the vaccines: St Helena received from the UK Government on 26th February a consignment of 3,800 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine. Enough for the 1st dose for every adult. Progress towards protecting all residents on the island.
