I would really take these schedule with a lot of care. Aircraft can be swapped at very short notice everyday.
Sometimes it happen after the crew as already sign in.
They are many reasons for that, delays, technical problem, passanger load etc etc etc.
Thinking you can book a flight to be on a particular plane is just a dream.

Good idea and excellent execution.
Good marketing, and it doesn't have to cost that much.

Very nice idea. And very good looking plane.

Do you know if Brussels Airlines had to pay to get the right to use Tintin's image, or was it a win-win (advertisement for Tintin as well)?

What about a Buck Danny?
Buck Danny is not well known but it's an excellent comic series in all regards and the puristic aviation theme is great. I think that there isn't anything that tops it if you look at quality of drawings, realism and storylines.

Whom of you have never heard of Buck Danny?

Knowing Moulinsart and Nick Rodwell, there was definitely some sort of payment. Cash, tickets, ... I don't know. But definitely something. The man's a real vulture.
I can try to check with some of my contacts, but I doubt that anyone would know specifically.

Hugo Claus could've written a book about what an immense a-hole that man is.

As you mention this, it's only now that I check and realise that Buck Danny is actually a Belgian production!

I had always assumed that it was an American production, translated into Dutch and French.

And what about Nero , Suske & Wiske/Bob & Bobette? or Marcel Kiekeboe and family... There are anough stars from Belgian strips to paint some other planes.. Hé maybe they should also paint one of the A-330's with Tintin to get even more publicity in the US. ;)

There is now an answer to that million dollar question "What about Tintin's own travel experiences?"

Academic /scientific research proofs that Tintin's almost superhuman qualities (a luxury afforded him by his fictional status) make him not susceptible to the usual travel-related illnesses.

The research was done by investigators from the Department "Infectious and tropical diseases" of the Hôpitaux universitaires Pitié-Salpêtrière (Paris), the Laboratoire de génétique moleculaire (Paris) and the Division of infectious diseases of the Department of medecine, Emory University (Atlanta, USA).

For those considering to report this post as 100% nonsense: please note I'm just the messenger. Thanks, and have a nice day.

(Belga)

The aircraft being grounded , a solution had to be found for the 154 passengers who were on the flight to Brussels Airport. Fifteen of them have been placed on flights of other companies this afternoon . Brussels Airlines has provided a hotel room to some 140 remaining passengers, who will return to Brussels on Wednesday.
IF IT AIN'T BOEING, I'M NOT GOING.

I'm surprised that an alternate return was found for 15 pax only, considering the number of theoretical possibilities, via Oporto, Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Marseilles, Geneva, or even London etc...and TAP being member of Star Alliance!
Were all these planes full?

This option was probably cheaper
