Edit! SN1255 landed at LPA.
Meanwhile, OO-SFM continues her journey - so probably a medical divertion?

SFM was caught by this photographer during its (possibly first ever?) visit to LPA.

It seems to me that the crew has had a lot of time to rest!

And what about the replacement plane that was allegedly sent from Lisbon via Brussels to Miami?

Meanwhile, the battle for a percentage on the compensation and/or indemnity is open: Claim It versus Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats...

http://www.lesoir.be/801671/article/act ... re-retarde

More delay ... check-in in progress at 18.00 Belgian time.

Never believe the explanations given by the touroperator or the airline in such a case. Never, never. Especially the explanations given on the TV by the spokespersons - particularly those given by the Jetairfly representative (Baptiste van Thomas Cook was a champion also).

Never never? I don't agree with that. Some airlines, like Brussels Airlines, have a company policy to tell the passengers what's going on, even if that has expensive consequences like having to pay the indemnity as per EU rule 261/2004.

Miami Airport departures web page doesn't help a lot. It says Jetairfly 508 Now 12:30p (i.e. 18:30 CET), which already past since 2 hours...

http://webvids.miami-airport.com/webfids/

Gate F19, if anyone is interested...

Some 50 minutes ago, one passenger tweeted that they were indeed at gate F19 and that they expected departure in about half an hour. Meaning : they should be airborne about right now.

Some will probably not believe it, but JAF-518 just took off from Miami...

Flightradar24 already says JAF-518 is MIA-BRU

Meanwhile, OO-JAP is cruising at 33,000ft, so looks normal.

Just wondering when Brussels Airport will amend the 04h10 a.m. into the real ETA.

EuroAtlantic Boeing 767-300ER CS-TFT is not a replacement aircraft. It currently operates flight JAF624 (Miami-Orlando-Amsterdam) that would normally have been operated by OO-JAP if the latter had been on-time.

You mean they would admit both pilots felt asleep instead of making up a redicoulous story about callsigns?

I thought we were talking here about airlines trying to avoid the legal compensation in case of a delay.
A better example then yours above would be that hit-and-run accident from a low cost airliner in Barcelona few years ago, who hit another airliner on the taxiway but continued the journey, ignoring remarks from several paqssengers, probably afraid of loosing too much time.

The Jetairfly pax eventually landed at BRU around 06.30 this morning.

They are facing an uphill struggle, I think !

All passengers will receive the 600 € p/p compensation from Jetairfly, direct. They don't have to take legal action for it.

Jetairfly will also reimburse additional costs, caused by the delay. These costs will be checked by Jetair's after sales department.
