Belgium is doing notably better than other comparable regions. That partly has to do with the local market, but also very much with the successful actions of Belgian airports and airlines active here. Notably SN/Star/BRU, CRL/FR/other LCCs and JAF/VLM/ANR/OST. Don't know about LGG, but assume they are not doing bad either?Acid-drop wrote:or nobody does anything, it's just the market that is getting better...

With the new bmi flights to MUC (and some VLM flights during 4 weeks ), plus the 6 weekly A330 charters from China, indeed LGG seems to be very successful this year.RoMax wrote:Don't know about LGG, but assume they are not doing bad either?

Runway is not for now but they have the permit. They will make room for small cargo first. Extension of passengers terminal and cargo are priority and then the runway will be extended to 3200m. I know it because my best friend work there. They talked with wow air not long ago.
i'm very close to the management people in CRL. In the past i suggested them pegasus and Thomas Cook.

It's perhaps new in winter, but it's not a new route : Ryanair already fly to Podgorica twice weekly during this summer season (FR6041/6042 on thursday and sunday).

Maybe I don't know but they'll talk with legacy carriers. They want some airlines to connect CRL to the rest of the world. Like bmi at lgg. I suggested them to talk with tk and lh. They met wow air management not long ago.Airbus A330 wrote:The return of Air Arabia Maroc at CRL They moved ops to BRU due to the lack of cargo infrastructure at CRL.asianlao02 wrote:Belly cargo will start soon. They hired a guy for the cargo thing. He has 2 years to make things happen

No train link to the airport in the immediate future. Minister of Transport Jacqueline Galant wants further discussions between the airport, the federal government and the Wallonia government on the advantages and drawbacks of a link that would cost hundreds of millions of euros. In the meantime, the bus link from Charleroi station (15 minutes) will be improved with special lanes on the access roads.

Not so very surprising.sn26567 wrote: Warsaw first destination
There are four daily return flights for Warsaw : two to Modlin by Ryanair, two to Chopin by Wizz Air.
At cheap prices : one can find return trips from 20 to 40 euros ...
A day return trip to Warsaw is quite enjoyable, I do it from time to time.
