The access to the security check is now through automatic doors opened by the passenger scanning himself his/her boarding pass.

The Minister in charge of the Walloon airports, Carlo Di Antonio, wants to invest 15 to 20 million euros for " a small terminal bis, which would allow the airport to quickly accommodate 9 million passengers per year.

In October, the Commission forced BSCA to pay a fee of 15 million a year to Sowaer, owner of the Walloon infrastructure, retroactive to April 4, 2014. And to cancel some regional measures considered as illegal state aid. BSCA appealed against this decision.

Brussels Airlines has asked the Court of the European Union to intervene "in support of the conclusions of the Commission" against regional aid received by Charleroi Airport (BSCA). Brussels Airlines is aggrieved by the aid that create "a significant imbalance of competition".

I have a suggestion:

Both subsidies stop at the same time!

it saves our government and thus us tax payers a lot of money!

Cheers,

Stij

If you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw stones!!!
You are correct Stij stopping all subsidies would save a lot of money, unfortunately it wouldnt't bring back the special pilot pension fund which has been emptied to keep BruAir alive.

These are simply amazing growth figures, not just in volume, but also in load factor: way better than most European airports in fact. It shows that those who were predicting doom and gloom after the low fares airlines opened bases in Brussels were wrong indeed.
Well done

Well done
Also in that press release:

These results are higher than those expected by Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Jean-Jacques Cloquet, BSCA’s CEO, is very pleased with them: “Charleroi airport saw a considerable rise in numbers in May 2015. A two-figure rise is above what we could have hoped for. This might be explained by the fact that many bank holidays fell before a weekend, which meant that lots of people could get away for a city break at very reasonable prices.
