KLM meldt op Twitter dat ze drie Farewell Flights gaan doen voor de MD-11. Het toestel gaat binnenkort uit de vloot. 25 oktober zal de laatste lijnvlucht zijn volgens Airlineroute.

De voorverkoop start morgen om 11:11. Tickets gaan €111,- kosten meldt KLM. Meer info over de verkoop volgt morgen via de social media kanalen van KLM.

Ook voor de vertrekdatum is het thema ’11’. De drie vluchten vinden plaats op 11-11. De vlucht vertrekt en landt op Schiphol, je krijgt een boek met mooie MD-11 momenten bij de vlucht. De vertrektijden meldt KLM niet (11:11:11 wellicht?).



Er gaan 285 passagiers in een MD-11, er kunnen dus 855 mensen mee met de farewell flight.

Why don't Brussels Airlines offer farewell flights in a RJ85 with OO-DJP ?
I am sure they could make a packet of money with all the enthusiasts ready to pay for the privilege !

I will be flying to CRL that day and I even looked at the possibility to fly to AMS instead, but finally gave up thinking about all the additional costs...
