So, it's the same? It will be operated as a BRU-BCN-BRU-VRN-BRU on the late shift for BRU crew.

Does that mean they'll make connections possible in BRU, or is it just the technical schedule for plane and its crew?

A general question: do planes always fly the same string of flights a whole season long, btw?

They already do Barcelone now, so how come they haven't been using that particular capacity for another flight after its return from Spain until now then? It can't just have been parked for the evening so early, can it?

No connection, just the schedule for the crew. The capacity comes from an extra aircraft based in BRU next Summer (4 instead of 3 now).

And yes, we have a set of "standard rotations" throughout the season. E.g. In Brussels the TSF flight is always followed by VLC of PMI (depends on the day of the week), while all AGP/LIS/ALC are just 2 sectors.

Oh I see!
so it's a sort of an internal planning thing then.
Doesnt it make it a bit boring then, if you always do the same, or do you not always operate the same set of rotations? So if I get this right, not all staff at BRU flies on all the routes from BRU then?
Would maybe be interesting to have a kind of 'operated by this or that base' mentioned next to the name of the airline during booking, just as many other airlines do too, then people have an idea who they fly with?

It's not boring, because you fly all the rotations. One crew is not stuck to the same rotation every day. One day you could do a four sector BRU-TSF-BRU-PMI-BRU, the next is just BRU-AGP vv, the day after you do a BRU-ALC vv, etc.

Well, they only do that on a codesharing flight. It doesn't really make sense to mention which base operates the flight, since they all fly for the same airline with the same SOPs. And frankly, who cares... For example, BRU-BCN is flown 3 daily: the early flight is done by BCN crew, while the two others are done by BRU crew.

We start to get quite a nice selection of new routes it seems, so far: Billund, St Petersburg, Bordeaux, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Calvi, Lourdes and Olbia, if I'm correct?

It seems that 2015 will be very interesting and busy with a lot of new routes in Europe or higher frequencies.

Now curious if we can expect something from long haul in general.

Is that to allow better connections with the long haul network or was that already possible with the old schedule? And isn't the total frequency going to be higher than only this daily flight or did I just dream that 'news'?

I think it also has something to do with the night ban at TLV, having a STD just before the night ban goes in (like they do now) is not easy for ops...

Wow, that's another impressive expansion planned for next year.

Additional planes on the horizon to make this possible, maybe?

Regarding the new destinations of SN ...

BOD will play certainly a role for the whole LH group. It is not flown yet by any of the partners! So I guess there will be O&D pax, but also transfer pax from Germany, Austria and Switzerland ... At the same time I wander which type of pax since BOD is certainly a tourist destination, but is it also a business destination; less so I guess.

ZAG is another matter. It is already flown by the partners, but it is of course the capital of one of the EU Member States. I guess this flight will be in cooperation with OU ? ZAG is certainly business, but also a very nice/interesting city to visit as a tourist.

Cheers,
Danny

I wander why SN is not flying to Bucharest. There is a huge Romanian community in Belgium but also a lot of Belgian companies are situated in Bucharest.
Tarom and Blu Air has some good frequencies but still I wander why SN is not flying on it.

Wizz Air operates a daily flight to Bucharest from Charleroi (there are flights priced at 14,99 euros one way in January, for instance).
IF IT AIN'T BOEING, I'M NOT GOING.
