Indeed, it was not posted in this thread, but it was extensively discussed in the thread "Jetairfly in 2014", from this post on: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=52031&start=60#p299379

Not exactly winter but bmi Regional are increasing the frequency of their EMA-BRU services to three on Wednesdays and Thursdays. http://bmiregional.com/en/bottom-menu/p ... ope-routes
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

With the sale of Cyprus Airways, the Cypriot government is also going to make LCA (Larnaca) - BRU (Brussels) a PSO (public service obligation) route. The new owner will have to fly the route, even if it's not profitable as it will be subsidized by the Cypriot government. How many weekly flights still not decided.

This new Dublin-Brussels Zaventem route (with morning, midday and evening flights) commences on 26th October, and goes on sale on the Ryanair.com website tomorrow (22 August) at fares starting at just €19.99, which is on average 60% cheaper than Aer Lingus.

It is indeed good to see incoming competition on the BRU-DUB.

I would have been very happy to see SN filling the gap before on that route but FR went faster...

On another hand, will SN restart the BRU-HEL route?

Surprised that nobody has mentionrd it yet, but I am also closer to the source ;)

TG consider more Brussels services: from 4x weekly to daily

Thai Airways International will consider increasing its four weekly flights to daily services between Bangkok and Brussels.

Speaking at the “Destination Promotion” seminar Tuesday, THAI commercial acting exceutive vice president, Suraphon Israngura Na Ayuthya, said once the country returns to normal, a daily service to Brussels was possible.

THAI is considering to increase frequency from four weekly to daily, however, we have to wait for the country to stabilise and also gain feedback from the market and passengers.

Currently, THAI operates four weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

He added: “Brussels is very convenient hub for us to connect passengers to many points in Europe.
Flights to Brussels will serve business travel from Thailand to the European Union conducting state travel. Leisure passengers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France will take advantage of convenient daily flights out of Brussels
.”

Since November 2011, THAI is the only Southeast Asian carrier to fly nonstop to Brussels a gateway to many destinations and a partnership agreement with Brussels Airlines through the Star Alliance makes it more important for TG.

If "returns to normal" and "stabilise" = return to democracy, that means October 2015 when elections are planned :?:
