It will only suspend the route in Winter 2014 - 2015. The route will come back in Summer 2015

I know that Wikipedia isn't a good source, but I've read that Jet Airways would fly to Bangalore this winter?

Under which heading (Brussels Airport? Jet Airways? ...) and in which language?

For this winter it's a no go. But they have flown it in the past for a few months during the winter (Octobre 2008 untill January 2009). 5 weekly flights with A330-200

Don't expect too much. Not only is a large part of the 9W wide body fleet leased out, EY surely wants the traffic to be going via AUH and not BRU. Finally, I can't find anything on Wiki, so I think they've removed any reference.

Going through the history of the English "Brussels Airport" page on Wikipedia, on 19 September, somebody indeed added Bangalore as a Jet Airways destination starting 4 Dec 2014. Soon someone else added "reference needed" and later on the same day the destination was removed.

This shows that Wikipedia is rather reliable: wrong information is quickly corrected.

So far more than 500 people signed a petition to save the Cork-Brussels link. If Aer Lingus doesn't want to operate the route in the winter, they hope another airline will, that's why also SN will receive the petition.

Could this be an opportunity for SN or is the demand really too low (even for smaller aircraft) to operate in the winter? Of course, Aer Lingus will relaunch in the summer, so than they would compete. And it's probably already to late to launch it for this winter season, unless they skip a few months.

Etihad and SAS have signed a codeshare agreement covering services to Abu Dhabi and a number of European routes.

The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, will see SAS place its SK code on Etihad flights between Abu Dhabi and Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, Zurich, Geneva and London Heathrow.

Etihad will place its EY code on SAS-operated flights from these European destinations, excluding Brussels, onto SAS' hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm.

Emirates will move forward it's upgrade to Brussels.

Now we can see already most of the time the B777-300ER at Brussels Airport but instead of January 2015 they will forward it to December 2014 to fly daily with the B777-300ER to BRU

Good news! Is it possible for a double daily? The 3 MEA are doing well I think from BRU?

I guess having 3 middle eastern carriers (and TK) operating is already enough. Let some jobs left for Europeans please!!!

It looks like no more US 762 on PHL-BRU.
US Airways to operate a special farewell “flight 767″ from Philadelphia to Charlotte and return on February 12 as the last Boeing 767 flight
