I think that this announcement was premature, although based on a tweet from the chief pilot of JAF.

The first flight (B1) was indeed scheduled, but cancelled due to operational reasons.
It should be happening today or tomorrow, though.

Regarding the two new 787 orders by the TUI group last week: (cfr: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51700 )
Anyone an idea to which airline they are going to be assigned to? Is JAF getting a second 787?

I thought it has always been the plan to eventually replace the B763 with a B788? It doesnt make much economical for JAF to have to many aircraft types to deal with.
