Yes and by the way it seems also that Brussels-Washington will remain in B-777 (3 class) and Brussels-Chicago also in B-777 (3 Class).

x135 means "except 1 3 5", i.e. 2 4 6 7 ( that is 4 weekly)

Indeed, but only temporarily:

US Airways Oct – Dec 2013 Brussels Operation Changes

US Airways from 03OCT13 to 03DEC13 is temporary changing operational aircraft on Philadelphia – Brussels route, where it’ll be served by Boeing 757-200 instead of 767.

US751 BRU1045 – 1315 PHL 752
Above schedule is effective for the week of 03OCT13 only. Operational frequencies vary during certain period.

The AMS slot allocation lists contains the following for KLs AMS-BRU (even numbers flights from BRU to AMS, odd AMS to BRU):

KL1637/44 operated by 73H (=737-800)
KL1720/21 operated by F70
KL1722/23 operated by F70
KL1724/25 operated by F70
KL1726 operated by F70
KL1728 operated by 73H
KL1731/32 operated by F70
KL1734 operated by 73H

To be honest, I think that KL1637/44 are dummy flights as I doubt there are not many takers for a flight to BRU at 20:20 and arriving from BRU at 23:15 (and in addition they list the incorrect number of seats). KL1728 and KL1734 are listed outbound only, thus a clear dummy flight. Can anyone confirm that these are indeed dummy flights?

Hainan Airlines Brussels Operation Changes in Nov/Dec 2013

Hainan Airlines from 20NOV13 to 27DEC13 is temporarily reducing Beijing – Brussels service, where it’ll operate 3 weekly instead of 4. Airbus A330-200 aircraft operates this route.

Code: Select all

HU491 PEK0145 – 0545 BRU 330 267
HU492 BRU1230 – 0530+1PEK 330 267
Additional changes to planned operational frequencies remain possible.

Interesting to see is that EY has requested slots for a 3x daily rotation AUH - BRU - AUH and QR has requested 2x daily slots.
Furthermore 9W has still all their slots for the winter to operate there 4 flights a day.

Wow! So, for a frequency increase from 8 to 21 weekly flights!? :)

That's a ridiculous increase... Even FRA doesn't have that much rotations, just LHR comes to mind which has 3 daily rotations, even CDG has only 2 daily flights.

Why would EY increase from 8 weekly to 3 daily? I can't see any legit reason except the withdrawal of 9W and EY catching the BRU - eastern market but with 9W keeping their flights? :?:

Not so surprising. I believe that depending on how long it will take for EY to get approval to buy 24% in 9W and the UAE - India bilateral, 9W will either stay in BRU (if they approvals don't come) and EY won't increase or EY will increase BRU (though 3 daily is a little bit too much unless they want to develop BRU in a cargo hub) and 9W leaves BRU. Moreover, expect some slots to be returned late August when most schedules are finalised.

Finally, airlines file often for more slots than they need in order to get the arrival and departure slots from which they can choose at a later stage. Or EY and QR want to send a message to EK that they shoudln't attempt flying to BRU.

BMI regional has requested 3x daily QLA (Lasham) x67
QR will change there flightnumbers in QR195/196 for the morningflights and QR193/194 for the afternoonflights.

It seems that JAF will fly on 23/12 for the fist time with the 788 to VRA as JAF107. (No confirmation). BTW the 788 will have a seating of 300 pax according my info.

What if EY saw potential in routes beyond BRU? AUH-BRU-JFK/EWR can come to mind.
