The sad thing about Le Bourget and Farnborough is that a lot of interesting aircraft already leave before the public days even start...
Anyway, if the price is fine, it would still be interesting.

I seriously doubt that the airport runways are open to private planes during the airshow. In flight plane presentation start at ten and don't stop till dawn. The parking apron is used for static exhibition so I don't really see this happening.

At Le Bourget, the general aviation parking is available even during the show.
As long as the flight lands long before the flying display and departs after, you can have a PPR validated.

I suggest you to go on the business days, public days are less interesting.
You can then actually talk to some sales managers, many of whom don't know what they're selling except for some stuff they memorised. If you're in business attire, you can ask to visit some aircraft.

Other than that, it's still a tradeshow, so you won't get the extensive flying display from close up that you see at Koksijde or Sanicole. The goal of tradeshows is to exchange business cards.

Not a sensational news as this is the information given to/for the general public. Now I suppose that the guys at Vizion Air know what they re talking about by proposing a flight to LBG...

I would say: Count me in, depending on day and price.

Hi

It would be great to see that happening again, I remember that either Denim Air or VLM in the old days also used to do this (for example the ex-RIAT charter). This might be a bit 'talking out of my business' but it would be great to see these kind of trips happening again soon, I've missed the will/possibility of own CityJet to be able to organize this unfortunatly .... And sure all onboard will enjoy the true joy of flying as it still is with the F50 ;). Just don't expect luxury that's all, but a lot of flying fun as it can still be very cosy. 8-)

Best regards, Yannick ;)

Le Bourget airport is managed by " Aeroport de Paris". ADP says that indeed, planes can land outside the inflight presentations hours, BUT according to the decree of 15th of November 1994, the airport is limited to aircrafts up to 21 Seats. ( all year long, including during " le salon").
So too bad, I thought it was a good idea. There's always the possibility of CDG only 7km away.

I doubt this one has a mere 21 seats :

So, a modest F50 shouldn't be a problem.

You're absolutely right. There must be exceptions !. I remember also that the " flight of shame" , back from SouthAfrica with the french football team on board was an " aeropostale" 737 and it landed at " Le Bourget". I'm sure there is plenty more examples.

But nevertheless, my info comes from François BRU !(I'm not kidding) at ADP, who told me this morning what I stated before:
No more than 21 seats.
So, wait and see.

Your flight to Le Bourget Airshow 2013

Thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm in the newest and most inspiring airline in Belgium - Vizion Air. I'm the lucky one to proudly developing the Vizion Air flights since we started earlier this year.

It's with great pleasure to present a first time proposal for a day return ANR-LBG-ANR on Friday 21 June 2013 for only € 258,-. Please state this is still subject to availability of the runway and number of candidates for this flight. (Excl. TVA or show entree. Incl. taxes and catering)

If we can make this happen, show entree tickets will be something we'll fight for.
Please let me know your thoughts on: [email protected]

Hi,

Pity 258 euros is too much for me..
What made this short flight so expensive? The personnal offer?

Would have joined until 150 euros, like Maastricht Airlines F50 fares to Munich..
A car to Paris cost me 75 euros and take one hour more but four pax with me...

Pity would have liked to join this one,really...
But guess rationalism won't take the luchtzak members I know from the Avgeeks into this one :(

A SN flight to CDG , 7 km away was just 130 euros a few days ago

Maybe ask for the groupbooking fir a day CDG? but guess fares are in this period skyhigh with SN due to their AFI feeds...

Still wishing all participating luchtzakkers a great day out and a great sunny sky!

Ciao!

CXB

ps : airfrance from dus- cdg in a318 128 euros allin two days, with a cheap hotel is more relax and even expensive, sorry bit disappointed with this fare,.. maybe we're too spoiled nowadays with all those LCC but guess this is what aviation is nowadays, less upperclass, more common for everyone and fares are everything..
New types flown 2022.. A339

There day flight to Basel is 375,- Le Bourget is about 1/3 shorter in distance, so I expected the flight to be about 250 euro. Too bad that this is not a good deal for us, remember that this is only a day trip. Not a holiday. 100 Euro and that flight would have been full ! But not realistic as above prices means that it costs 6000+ euro to fly a Fokker 50 for 1 hour.
