And there goes one airline and one destination out of Brussels..., unless FlyGeorgia uses its remaining A319 to fly the route and takes the risk to see it impounded as well!
In the meantime the aircraft is flown to EHWO with new registration OE-IBT. Btw, this is a old SN bird: OOSNI

And yesterday the A319 4L-FGA was also impounded at BRU.

In the next issue of Airliner World there will be an article about AirGeorgia.
A good read probably...

Does anyone know the reason why QR6581 (usual routing JNB-NBO-LGG) arrived at AMS this morning instead of LGG (accoring to the AMS website and slot allocation list it arrived directly from NBO)?

Today the SN flight to Kinshasa (SN357, OO-SFU) returned to BRU shortly after take-off.
Does anyone know why? Technical, medical,...?

A few hours later OO-SFU departed BRU again to FIH.

And the answer is: dumping fuel before diverting to LHR !!

Are the US airports already closed after last night's vote in the US Congress ?

Could it be that SN2096 LHR-BRU diverted to Ostend tonight?

My stepsister was on that flight. Apparently there was an alarm in the cockpit regarding the landing gear. Fortunately nothing bad happened, and she was home in 10 minutes instead of +1hour.

Indeed, OO-DWF (not OO-DJY like in the picture of HLN) landed at OST, after a short flight in which it never flew higher than FL180.

From The Aviation Herald:
A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWF performing flight SN-2096 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Brussels (Belgium) with 70 passengers, was enroute at FL190 over the English Channel when the crew set course to divert to Oostende due to a gear indication. The aircraft landed safely on Oostende's runway 08 about 20 minutes later.

The airline said the crew diverted to Oostende as a precaution due to an indication, that illuminated for a still unknown reason.

A passenger reported the crew announced they had received an indication regarding the landing gear.
And another incident with the same RJ100 one day earlier !
Incident: Brussels RJ1H at Budapest on Oct 1st 2013, flaps problem

A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWF performing flight SN-2825 from Brussels (Belgium) to Budapest (Hungary) with 57 passengers and 4 crew, was on approach to Budapest's runway 13R when the crew reported problems with the flaps, aborted the approach and entered a hold advising they might need to land at a higher than normal speed prompting ATC to assign the longer runway 13L to the aircraft. After working the checklists the crew reported they had solved the problem and expected a normal landing now, the aircraft landed safely on runway 13L about 22 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The aircraft was able to perform the return flight SN-2826 on time.
Would this aircraft need more maintenance ?
