Seems like there are more of these 'gost flights' to KRK recently, I read about another one in another topic. And the flightnumber seems to be a regular one as well.

From The Aviation Herald:

A Brussels Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration OO-SSC performing flight SN-2104 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Brussels (Belgium), was climbing out of Heathrow Airport's runway 27R when the aircraft suffered a bird strike prompting the crew to level off at 3000 feet and return to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27L about 18 minutes after departure.

The incident aircraft was able to position to Brussels the following day after about 28 hours on the ground and resumed service after landing in Brussels.

A bit of snow again today...
CRL and LGG seem to be closed (5 RYR flight holding high above CRL) but Alitalia from FCO (to BRU) is going to AMS, it seems a Tunisair is going to LUX.
Turkish and El Al are holding for BRU.
For the moment BRU is still open for departures.

La Dernière Heure. (of course not a press reference...). This is about "false alarms" at Brussels Airport.

http://www.dhnet.be/infos/faits-divers/ ... rport.html

unquote

BELGA correspondent was maybe to busy snooping at LGG
Or better, BRU have an efficient spokeman...(joke !). But it's good to see positive news about safety in aviation.

Nearly 200 Jetairfly passengers blocked more than 12 hours at Charleroi by technical problem

"We are in the transit area since 05:30. At the check-in, an employee told us that the flight would be a little late because the plane had a technical problem. But we checked our luggage and we were allowed to pass the security check. It was only when went to the boarding area at 06:15 that we were told that the departure was postponed until noon. We have not received any information from Jetairfly staff. They have distributed only a voucher for a sandwich and a snack. Passengers who have called their travel agent have learned that another plane would take off at 18:30. Here, passengers are furious", said Françoise from Montigny-le-Tilleul.

The Jetairfly spokesman promised that the aircraft take off for Tenerife at 18:50 ... with a 12 hr 20 min delay. "The pilot realized Saturday morning that the plane was down. It could not be repaired. It was very difficult to find another aircraft. A plane brings passengers from Tenerife to BSCA at 17:50. It takes off to Tenerife an hour later, the time to clean and load luggage and meal trays." Meanwhile, the first plane, obviously repaired, flew at 17:00 to Murcia under the eyes of disgruntled passengers.

N1602 (Delta 763ER) to New York delayed till 15.45 due to technical. Currently I see them looking at the horizontal stabilizers of the tail and the nosegear.
