CAE Global Academy PA28 missing

Post by simulator »

PA 28 from the CAE Global Academy (Mesa - USA) has been missing for two days now...

Instructor and 2 student pilots not accounted for...

Is this the ex-SATC / SFA Academy?

This is indeed ex-SATC, but the Pipers are mainly used by the Dutch students from KLS and NLS.

Out of nostalgic-personal interest: does anyone have an idea about the registration of the plane?

I wonder if it still carried the Sabena branding, SATC was only renamed to CAE last year with planes still flying with the Sabena brand less then a year ago.

KLM Flight Academy has confirmed they have three fatalities. KLM says that the FAA confirmed that the aircraft crashed against a rock.

There is also a clip on Youtube, made by the young student pilot after his first solo flight...

Such a waste...
