"...After discovering a problem in 2017 with a cockpit warning light on the 737 MAX, Boeing decided it would defer an update to fix the issue until 2020, U.S. congressional officials said Friday... At the time of the crashes, the alert worked only on planes flown by airlines that had bought a different indicator added to the main flight-display panel. Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines did not have those packages...

In March, the FBI has opened a criminal investigation into the certification of the 737 MAX 8. It seems that the FBI will focus more on what happened inside the Boeing 737 MAX team, rather then inside the FAA.

Air Europa owner Juan Jose Hidalgo says the B737 MAX grounding has caused “great damage” to the airline, and the carrier hopes to reach a deal with Boeing on the matter.

LOT Polish Airlines to take delivery of one B737-700, serial 30651, from Boeing Capital in light of the B737 MAX grounding. Free of charge?

Vueling may move away from an all-Airbus fleet and migrate to the B737 MAX, according to Willie Walsh, CEO of parent IAG. Did Walsh lose some bolts and become nuts? How will his customers react?

They're probably cheap to buy now, and will be delivered long after the MAX has proved itself safe :geek:

Boeing handed over 56% fewer aeroplanes in May 2019 to 30 aeroplanes compared with a year earlier, as deliveries of the B737 MAX jet remained suspended. Net orders for the first five months remained in negative territory, with a total of minus 125 net orders.

FAA indicated that the B737 MAX could be out of action for even longer than expected and will likely be airborne again by December 2019.

Ukraine International Airlines may switch from the Boeing 737 MAX to Airbus aircraft as part of its long-term fleet strategy. The carrier may also adjust its 2020 delivery schedule to due to delay in MAX deliveries.

Registered SP-LUA, and to not be painted into PLL LOT livery, the airline confirmed to Aviation24.be.

A 380, does that mean you are not leaving from BRU, to avoid making noise overhead your own house? 😈

Well, your wife is part of the 90% sean1982 is talking about, and you are part of the 10% remaining...
Don't believe the initial post too much. "...I reserved for next family holiday and I send to my wife the ticket with the mention look to the plane we go fly in! And she thought it was the 737max and she was furious and said no way till I explained it is the A380..."

Seriously, Lumumba? The ticket (or the resa) shows EQP A380 and your wife thinks that's a Boeing 737 MAX?

I don't think she really looked at it but because I'm always saying that for example we going to fly with the last Boeing 737 from Brussels Airlines in the past etc.... she tought maybe we will be one of the first to fly with the max or something like that

Anyway has a plane spotter I always have a story about the plane we take.
But people around me are willing to avoid the Max in the future but that's what they are saying now I don't say it's everywhere like that and I'm sure with time all this will disappear but it's there for now.

Until the day comes they are standing in front of a Max and will happily get on because they think its an A330
