New private bus line from Holland and Flanders/Wal to CRL:http://en.airportbus.eu/

The initiative, private forces, does not surprise: if line A TEC Charleroi works perfectly, it never allows a constant connection between the airport and Charleroi-South train station that is not directly accessible for many users of the BSCA from the north of Belgium or the Netherlands. And every month that passes makes qu'éloigner a little more, if not permanently (doubt is allowed unfortunately), the realization of an SNCB station in the basement of the Brussels South Charleroi Airport.

ADS-Coaches society has decided, from this January 19 to inaugurate a new service, entitled "Airportbus.eu," the name of website that allows you to reserve their journeys in advance. The company announced a service of the most regular with buses seven days a week, at a frequency of one bus every two hours in summer and every two hours and a half in winter.

Originally from the Netherlands (the service also serves the airport of Eindhoven), this new line of buses make stops in Turnhout, Antwerp, Kontich, Malines, Louvain, and in the Walloon Brabant, Louvain-la- Newfoundland and Genappe.

The company director ADS-Coaches, Didier Tuyttens, said: "Some 40% of passengers who fly to BSCA are from Flanders. Many of them have a real problem of transport. A taxi is very expensive compared to plane tickets right markets low-cost airlines and all do not leave their cars from 10 to 15 days without supervision. With our new regular, travelers have the opportunity to cozy up and down close to home or from the airport without having to lug their bags between different public transport. "

The rates charged depend on the course route and time of reservations. A simulation on the website of the company announces € 21 for a round trip Louvain-la-Neuve/BSCA for this purpose in January. |

This bus line can also be used to go take a flight at Eindhoven. EIN has some good connections, notably to London, which Charleroi lacks.

With eurostar BRU/CRL areas don't need flights to London anymore.They have been cancelled a few years ago(operated by FR), due to a lack of demand.EIN is isolated in terms of High speed trains.Flights to LON make more sense.

In addition to this, JAF will also fly this route from Paris Vatry.

Off-topic, but what an odd location: 150 KM from Paris, in the middle of nowhere. Are airlines getting paid to fly there? :?

I have no clue why JAF opted to start this route. Nevertheless this is the second domestic route that JAF started in France after Brest - Toulon (but that had something to do with military traffic?).

Vatry is in the middle of Champagne (the region); it hosts various charter flights and Ryanair flights to Porto, Marseille and Stockholm. Open 24/24, 7/7 (no operational nor environmental limitations).

It's a daily flight, according to their website.
CRL-BUD FR8416 17:35 -> 19:35
BUD-CRL FR8415 15:10 -> 17:10

CRL-BUD will one of the rare routes where Ryanair will compete head-to-head with Wizz Air. And in this case Wizz Air will have the advantage with a double-daily!

But how long can the route sustain three flights a day?

Yes. It remains to see who will have the advantage of price.

I already know how this is going to play out.
SN will go back to 2 daily in no time and FR will upgauge to twice daily.
FR will make BUD-CRL unsustainable for wizzair and push them out.
Then move up to thrice daily and take SN by the neck.
