Hello,

My name is Claude Schmit (Bimbo) from Luxembourg and I am new member in this forum.

I am a bit confused about the registration OO-SFY as being former HB-IQA c/n:229, I have seen brandnew pictures from Zurich with OO-SFY registration apllied and I think this is former HB-IQC which is parked for some time in Zurich now or thr wrong registration has been applied to former HB-IQC. :?: :?: :?:

Maybe HB-IQA has been flown to Zurich to get reregistrated, I hope somebody from the forum may have some infos to clear my confusion between HB-IQA and HB-IQC

Are you sure it wasn't OO-SFZ on the A332 in ZRH (the registration HB-IQC should get)? The last pictures I can found on the internet of HB-IQC are in SN colors but still with the swiss registration, so I can't check it. Maybe others can help.
The Belgian register of aviation is clear: c/n 229 (this is ex-HB-IQA) has the OO-SFY registration.

The according to flight24, HB-IQA made a flight to ZRH on the 31th January. There are no logs of HB-IQA after January 31. So it is possible that both planes are in ZRH for re-registration.

I found it interesting that it has to fly to ZRH for re-registration... Has this something to do with paperwork and/or some kind of hand over from Swiss Internation Airlines to the leasing company from which SN will lease the two aircraft?
Or is there another simple reason for this?

It will take 1 month.

According to Flightradar24/Flight24, OO-SFY (ex HB-IQC) arrived yesterday evening around 22:00 CET in Brussels.
On Friday HB-IQC made a flight above Swiss.

SFO is in Malta at the moment for the C-check, however a problem popped up: corrosion & metal fatigue was discovered.

OO-SFY
A fellow member told me that the landing gear was hit by a pushback truck.

No reall suprise, altough I expected SN to try to operate as fast as possible the first modified A333's to FIH. What routes will it get now? Douala/yaounde, Abidjan,...?

BTW, this can't be completly correct: BRU-FIH-BRU is performed only 4 times/week, BRU-LAD-FIH-BRU indeed 2 times/week, but there is also 1 weekly BRU-DLA-FIH-DLA-BRU... what about that flight? I assume that flight is operated by A333's? Otherwise the 2 A332's would operate a shedule of 14 weekly flights...isn't that a bit too busy for only two aircraft? 13 weekly seems more reasonable.

BRU FIH vv is 5 weekly in NS12 season.

BRU DLA NSI vv is 5 weekly with 333. (It will no operate BRU DLA FIH vv routing)

I suppose SN, like the other airlines, had to issue something for publication; otherwise I don't really see the point in that. Surely they take into account expected pax numbers and freight loads for the season but I would think they want and will use some flexibility to adapt to actual loads a few days (hours?) before each flight.
I bet pax won't care if they fly a 200 or a 300, and most of them won't know they're on a A330 anyway.
Besides, the 200 is now flying and has flown to practically all AFI destinations for SN, under both its old and new registrations (cfr data.flight24.com).
Maybe the higher number of business seats in the 200s (still Swiss configuration I assume) played a role in the selection of the destinations they were (theoretically) assigned to. ???

The A330-200 has now 24 seats and not longer the 48 of the Swiss configuration.
