Yak-52 crash near Lelystad Airport : 1 person died.

A Yak-52 crashed near Lelystad Airport when it tried to land. According to the news, he had to avoid another airplane who was landing, lost control, and crashed. The pilot died. According to the same news , the airplane is registered in Belgium.

Where is the mention of Belgium registry? Must have missed that one. The Yakkes used to be seen at EBLE, yes, but I've not been there for a long while now. I am quite sure this plane was RA-registered.

Another pilot will now enjoy blue skies forever.

I did some google and found out that the aircraft is (was) based at EBLE Leopoldsburg / Sanicole, and owned by the Yakkes Foundation , in Holland.

Damn, that's sad news.

I've seen this plane also dozens of times above my home doing some acrobatics. Will miss these nice shows for sure.
