Not much info yet:
Moscow's Domodedovo airport - the busiest in the Russian capital - has been rocked by an explosion.

Interfax news agency reports at least 10 people have died and 20 more are injured.
Early local media reports suggested the blast may have hit the airport's international arrivals hall.

already 31 casualties. Reports talk about almost certain terrrorist attack and even 3 suspects.

terrible, just terrible.
If "they" can't get the airplanes, "they" attack the airports, hitting almost always 100% innoscent peoples completely uninvolved with "their justified cause"

This will lead to further security checks, extra costs, delays, travel time and so on.

The tally grows by the hour. Now there are 31 peopple dead and 130 injured.

The explosion occurred at the international arrivals. A lot of fumes made the rescue opereations difficult.

Security at Moscow Domodedovo has been criticised. You might remember that in 2004 two kamikaze terrorists managed to pass security with explosives and to board two planes that later exploded, killing 90 people.

I read that just before the explosion a Brussels Airlines landed. I hope all people are ok. Just out of curiosity, why does SN fly to DME and not to SVO ?

The SN flight was able to leave DME after the explosion.

All the Star Alliance airlines fly to DME.

Doesn't look good for Pax arriving with SN.

Brussels Airport has opened the telephone centre for the crisis.

The bomb reportedly exploded at 16:32 LT, 13:32z
SN flight arrived at 16:12. Some may have just gone through immigration and arrived at the carousel at that very wrong moment.

Others likely involved are :
Niki from VIE, arriving at 15:55
Air Berlin from DUS at 15:36
Another Air Berlin, from TXL, arrived at 16:31 hence Pax not even in the arrrival terminal yet.

As often in these tragedies, some go through : the Air Berlin from MUC had an ETA of 15:45 but arrived only 17:50 due to departure delay.
Same for LH from MUC, arrived 17:44 instead of 16:15 due late departure.

RIP to the victims and may the bastard suicide bomber burn for ever in hell.

SK flies into SVO only. Don't know if they have plans to move to DME...

Not that it really matters much right now... I Just feel terrible for all the victims of this useless violence.

This is probably because SK is sill code sharing on flight between Stockholm and Moscow.

A very sad event!!

Brussels Airlines has retrieved the trace of all of its 88 passengers. All are safe and well.

The steward is also in an acceptable condition....
