you can make that 31 now... 8-)

On the pro side, SN moved the departure of one of its long haul planes to the afternoon, meaning they have gained the opportunity to do more maintenance in the morning between its early morning arrival and its mid-afternoon departure on the same day, something which wasn't possible before...

Despite the increase in number of weekly rotations, the overal time available for maintenance has thus even increased, so things should work out just fine, on condition they don't have to do major unscheduled maintenance.... But indeed, overall, the utilisation levels of the fleet go up to make this possible and the planes are already amongst to most heavily used A330s flying; 5 planes is just short of what we'd need to fly this schedule, but then you can't add just half a plane, can you?

I've been looking around at booking engines and find a B757 up till March 2011, so it will probably be te whole winter schedule.

Don't know if it was in this topic already but Vueling is going to increase their frequency between BRU and BCN to 19 flights a week instead of the 14 now.

As from February CO will use their B777-200 on the daily route BRU -EWR.

This winter no Transavia flights anymore to Innsbruck and Salzburg ex-BRU. This shows again how the travel industry is in a bad shape.

The Hainan flights to PVG are still with their A330.

Well, I think that when you go skiing for a week, the car is more convenient and when you go skiing for a weekend, they were pretty expensive.

Cheers,

When I just checked some flights on SN's website, I discovered something. When you choose an destination, the first you can choose is Abidjan. But when I was in the booking system itself, and I wanted to change my destination I saw that Aberdeen became the first destination, while Aberdeen isn't in the destination list when you want to choose an destination via the homepage. Aberdeen isn't an SN destinations, and you can't book any flights either. But I remember an article from this week, where the CEO of the Aberdeen airport says that he is talking with several airlines and flights to FRA, CDG and BRU (AFI connections) would be the most important for them he said. He also said he had good hope that these destinations will come.
Is it possible that SN will start flights to Aberdeen or BMI with an SN codeshare, or like Bristol and Newcastle: operated by BMI but officially a SN route? This does remember me to the new AFI destinations of SN, they were also loaded into the booking system before the official announcement altough you couldn't book them and you couldn't choose them at the start of your booking at the homepage (lik Aberdeen now). Or is this just a mistake?

Edit: Belfast seems to be the same case. I can not choose this destination at the start of the booking at the homepage, but when I'm in the booking engine and want to change my destination there is Belfast in the list.

CSA Czech Airlines will cancel OK636/7 as from 01JAN11, and is thus reducing service to Brussels from 23 to 18 times per week.

Great to see a new airline at Brussels :D, although it is a bit odd to see that 9U isn't selling tickets to Brussels on its website yet. BRU isn't mentioned on their flight map and there is no announcement about new routes on its website whatsoever. Do other sources confirm the news?

Were there fligths from Brussels to Chinisau before? Is Air Moldova using its Airbus A320 on the route? Does anyone have an idea about the frequency?

Do you think to route will last or do you think it is another Albanian Airlines story?

Hi sdbelgium,

Are you sure about this one? In the communication of Czech Airlines they speak that they are going to swap of the afternoon flight to an overnight flight to Brussels. Plus they are going to offer new and more attractive departure from Praque to Brussels.

With the start of the 2010/2011 winter season they are going to increase the number of flights to Brussels.

CSA press release:

Frequency Adaptations
Starting with the 2010/2011 winter season, Czech Airlines is increasing the number of flights on the Belgrade route, as well as to Brussels, Paris, Athens, Beirut, and St. Petersburg. On the other hand, there will be a partial reduction in the number of flights on the Ostrava, Bratislava, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Zurich, Bologna, Vilnius, Oslo, and Copenhagen routes. On certain routes, such as the Hamburg route, Czech Airlines will replace the ATR turbo-propeller aircraft with higher-capacity jet aircraft. The seat capacity offered on the route will therefore remain unchanged, although one frequency will be cut on the route. Each flight on the route will be a full 20 minutes shorter due to the change in aircraft type.
